Nice work and congratulations on the release!
I've done with nice ctrl and I need freebies
Hi @dahartigan -- Woot woot! No kidding, ctrl has been a huge upgrade for us. Features, security, flexibility, you name it.
With SolusVM, we were investing a lot of our talent and resources into keeping the panel alive, working around limitations, and applying band-aid after band-aid. With ctrl, we're able to put those resources towards moving forward on a modern framework, and adapt based on what our customers need. Being in ctrl feels good, seriously
We're fully committed to continuing to improve it too. So if you have any feedback, suggestions, etc, I'd love to hear about it!
It's good to see you've taken the leap with ctrl, especially with what you've gone through with solus. I like the upgrades feature you've added, it seems like a painless way to grow the instance when needed
Sheeesh, love it! Happy to hear you're enjoying ctrl

@dahartigan -- Glad to hear your feedback, especially coming from an industry veteran like yourself, so thank you! I greatly value your perspective and feedback.
By the way, the recent PHP vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, were a good case in point about being in ctrl. We were able to update the PHP running our panel as soon as the patches became available, without waiting for a panel vendor to release its own bundled packages.
For example, Virtualizor bundles PHP into what they call their "EMPS" stack, and SolusVM has its own svmstack PHP packages. Both Virtualizor and SolusVM's bundled PHP updates followed roughly 5-6 hours after the upstream release.
With ctrl, the good news is we were able to act right away. Having that flexibility, especially during a proactive security response, felt really good. These are some of the benefits behind the scenes that customers might never see directly, but certainly matter
Built for the AI era? What does that even mean?
Hi @LymbicSistem -- Great question! We're seeing more people building websites, applications, and automations with AI tools, who then need a place to actually run what they've built. That's a big part of the demand we're building around. Many are also finding that per-project or usage-based billing on platforms such as Vercel, Supabase, etc can add up (quickly) as their projects grow. Self-hosting those workloads on a VPS can be a more cost-effective option, with predictable pricing and greater flexibility.
With ctrl, our One-Click Apps catalog helps reduce the setup involved. For example, you can install Coolify to deploy your projects, Portainer to manage Docker containers, n8n for automations, or AnythingLLM for self-hosted AI workflows. See: https://racknerd.com/ai-vps
You still have full root SSH access and control over your software stack. And if your resources allow, you can run multiple projects on the same VPS too
We're seeing customers use their servers in new ways, and we're continuing to develop ctrl around those needs. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
Looks really clean and solid! Well done & congratulations, Dustin!

We're excited to keep building on it!
