Disappointed with how this birthday sale actually played out — honestly
feels more like a flash-sale rush than a "celebration for the community."

    Three specific issues:

    1. Campaign period was clearly stated as "October 26–31, 2026 (UTC+0)",
yet by the morning of Oct 31 the entire 13th Birthday store was
already empty / pulled down. Note on timing: the OP states the
campaign runs "October 26–31 (UTC+0)". As I write this it is still
only ~00:49 UTC on October 31 — i.e. barely 49 minutes into the
stated final day, with roughly 23 hours of the advertised window
still left on the clock. Yet the entire 13th Birthday store had
already been emptied/pulled by that point (early morning of Oct 31
in UTC+8). So this isn't "the sale ended as scheduled" — it's "the
sale was cleared out with almost a full day still officially left."
You told us "once these batches are gone, that's it for the year",
but clearing the whole shelf on the last day, before the stated end
time, is not "the last day" — it's ending early. Those of us who
planned to check back on Oct 31 found nothing.

    2. The OP said "Inventory will rotate and update periodically, so keep
that page bookmarked!" and promised "extra flash sales, giveaways,
quizzes, and more every 1–2 hours in this thread." What actually
happened? Popular plans (most notably the 2222 JP Softbank) were
dropped as tiny flash batches that sold out within seconds. "Rotate
every 1–2 hours" turned into "we blink and it's gone". If you can't
keep a 1-2 hour restock cadence, don't promise one.

    3. Speaking of the 2222 plans — you yourselves told us "GreenCloud will
NOT be holding a Black Friday sale this year" and "this 13th Birthday
event is our only major promotional sale of the season". That made
the 2222 line (especially the JP Softbank variant — the one so many
of us were waiting for) the single event of the year to grab. Yet
the 2222 plans were effectively available only on the very first
day, then never restocked in any meaningful quantity for the rest
of the campaign. Calling that "the only sale of the season" and
then making the most wanted SKU a one-day drop feels, to put it
      gently, ungenerous.

I've been a long-time GreenCloud customer and have renewed several
boxes at list price without complaint, so this isn't a random hit
post. But a "13th birthday for the community" shouldn't reward
auto-clicker speed and punish people who, you know, have jobs and
check the site during normal hours.

If any of the 2222 plans — especially JP Softbank — are coming back
before Black Friday (which you've already said isn't happening),
please let us know. Otherwise the "this is our only sale of the year"
framing just becomes a reason to be frustrated rather than excited.

People like you are the reason why so many LET providers no longer want to offer special deals.

Go ahead and find me another provider that has been part of the community for more than 10 years, has a decent track record, and offers JP SoftBank VPS at such a low price. I will wait.

Special deals offered by providers are a privilege, not an entitlement.

    try next year

  • I was disappointed about a deal I missed, but I am still super appreciative, hosts aren't obligated to give us any deals and yet we still got some pretty solid sales on a year that is more challenging with hardware costs..

Many thanks especially to @NDTN , but also @FAT32 , all the staff behind the scenes that made this possible, and the other LETers that kept things fun.

Some of you people have absolutely zero shame. I want good deals, but if I miss out, that's no ones fault but mine. Figure your shit out, don't piss off one of the best providers on this site.

  • I never said I was entitled to a deal. What I actually said was: the
OP promised specific things, and the execution didn't match.

    • The campaign window was stated as Oct 26–31 (UTC+0), but it
effectively ended ~23 hours early — the store was cleared out at
      00:49 UTC on the 31st.

    • The 2222 line appeared on day one, and after that it was never
meaningfully restocked — in what you yourselves called "the only
major promotional sale of the season", with no Black Friday.

That isn't "asking for a privilege" — it's asking for consistency
between what's promised and what's delivered. Nobody here is after
special treatment; I just want the store page and the announcement to
    say the same thing.

And speaking of which — whose "SoftBank" route goes sightseeing
through the UK or Australia before it actually heads back? Are you
going to tell me "you get what you pay for"?

At first, I felt a tiny bit of sympathy because I thought you were venting some frustration for missing the sale. Now I realize you're just a hater.

  • I understand that the GreenCloud 13th Anniversary VPS sale has ended, but I would like to ask whether the Double Resources renewal promotion is still available.
I would like to renew my existing VPS service and would really appreciate the opportunity to continue enjoying the double resources benefit. Even though the new VPS sales promotion has ended, is it still possible for existing customers to receive the Double Resources bonus when renewing their services?

I was admittedly sad there were less flash sales than normal, but NDTN mentioned fairly early on he was busy and down a guy, so that makes sense. He came through with a fun one in the end, and overall it was still a nice sale. @phanh had some quizzes and @FAT32 had the never-to-be-forgotten fruit quiz :joy:

You should have bought Illinois 4tb storage plan, it was available for a long time. If you missed that then it's on you.
