"Shit provider"? You might want to watch your language—your opinion doesn't count for anything; we know who we are, haha.

    Infrawire LowEndTalk crashout incoming 🍿

No point in arguing with disrespectful people like him, haha—we’ve got better things to do :)

If you guys sponsor a VPS for a month I'd be more than happy to test your bandwidth claims and provide an unbiased review on your service 😊

If you use up all the bandwidth for free for a month, we’d end up taking a bit of a loss, haha

Are you ready to lose €91.7/m/customer? (assuming 2.5G out unmetered)

It has been explained that this falls under "fair use," and generally, users are permitted to consistently utilize up to 30% of the bandwidth provided by their plan.

    I did read them.

@infrawire said: First of all, "unlimited" does not mean consuming resources all the time; "unlimited" means that we do not place any limits on bandwidth.

@infrawire said: I don’t understand your way of thinking; "unlimited" means that the bandwidth used isn’t counted—it doesn’t mean you should saturate the entire VPS connection!

We don't place any limits, oh- wait- no-

@infrawire said: instead, we apply rate-limiting.

@infrawire said: In fact, overall, we consistently allow 30% of the VPS's authorized bandwidth (10 Gbps) to pass through.

@infrawire said: Surely you realize that at such low, affordable prices, this isn't "unmetered" service—and, in fact, no hosting provider offers truly unlimited, unmetered access (without throttling, unless you're paying an extremely high price).

    Then, it's effectively 750mbps. I don't think it's bad though.

You seem to be having a bit of trouble understanding: we don’t set fixed limits. Bandwidth usage is permitted, provided it isn’t excessive and doesn’t saturate the hypervisor’s or the network’s links

Hmm, isn't it easier to just set a limit then? If 30% of 10Gbps is used continuously for a whole month, that's around 972 TB in 30 days. So even 30% usage could eat up nearly 1 PB of monthly bandwidth.

we don't set fixed limits but here's a fixed percentage you can use

Yes, people try to play games with this; as a new company, we are simply here to introduce our quality products, but it doesn't seem to be well received.

I'm not playing games. Make your offerings clear instead of shady practices.

You say unlimited, then you say things that are effectively limits while insisting they're not, then you say there aren't any, then you say up to 30% and then you say no fixed limit.

Sorry but it seems that it actually is difficult to understand for some -and/or- your being stubborn in blindly defending your position - plus arrogance and an aggressive tone pisses off quite a few people and does NOT serve your goal ("we are simply here to introduce our quality products") really well!

Pick one: do not give in 1 mm -or- sell your products and grow your customer base.
