  • One TB is too little for a VPS. If possible, increase it a little. Do you have an IP test?

  • @datapasa a heads-up for anyone reading this thread. I'm with SnapEX Pay (crypto payment gateway, not a host). In October you took part in our live checkout test: we send you $20 in crypto, you pay a $15 invoice back.

    • 14 Oct: we sent you 20.01 USDT on Ethereum: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x7bd0f7eb180194cdb3d5420f12cee1cfc2734dec4b3b3fc6b25fbe4fbe59acac
23 minutes later the whole amount was moved to another wallet. No KYC, no AML, no questions.

    • 15 Oct, after our reminder about the $15 invoice: "Your payment processing flow is very unsafe (looks like totally vibecode). Can you rework your payment flow?"

    • Fine, we said, then just return the $20. Reply: "We're can return your $20 to wallet: ... According our AML-policy."
    • We agreed to your condition the same day.
    • 18 Oct, the next condition: "Before we can process the refund, we need to complete a KYC/AML check. The incoming payment was sent from an exchange that operates without identity verification ... If the verification is not completed, the funds will remain on hold."

So the money was clean enough to accept and forward within 23 minutes, but needs our passport to come back. And it is "on hold" in a wallet it left four days earlier.

Paying: unsafe. Returning: AML. Now: KYC. Taking it: no checks at all.

Not chasing $20, just leaving this here for anyone choosing a host. And, as you said above, your Trustpilot reviews come with a $2 credit.

I completely agree with you. This looks like a scam, and I had a similar experience.

When I signed up, no questions were asked. However, as soon as I deposited $30, a form suddenly appeared asking for a bunch of personal information. I filled it out, but the whole experience left me feeling uncomfortable.

My main concern was that they could suspend or terminate my VPS at any time using the same lame excuses that crypto exchanges use these days: "AML, AML, AML!" LOL.

And that's not even the worst part.

The guy claims to be a Hetzner reseller and even provides a Hetzner test IP. However, after purchasing the server, I received a cheap, blacklisted IP with heavy packet loss and terrible ping.

After dealing with all these issues, I decided to delete the server and request a refund.

And guess what? My refund request was rejected!

To make matters worse, they aren't even responding to my support ticket anymore.

I paid $30 expecting a reliable VPS, but all I got was a terrible experience, questionable service, and nonexistent customer support.

    AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!

EDIT: @datapasa if KYC or AML is huge concern for you then ask for KYC when signing up, Not after deposit. idiot!

P.S. Always buy from well-established and reputable hosting providers like Hetzner, OVH, etc. They might charge a little more, but at least you know what you're paying for, and they actually deliver the service they promise!

@angstrom my multiple discussion didn't hurt anyone but they are scamming and no one cares.

    Thank you

    Hi @IIMKIIVG,

Sorry the experience was frustrating. Some context for anyone reading this thread:

The verification request and the refund decision were not arbitrary. They were the result of a combination of factors on this specific order: the account was registered with a disposable email address, a card payment was declined and flagged by Stripe Radar, and the refund was requested to a third-party wallet instead of the original payment method. None of these alone would lead to this outcome, but together they match the patterns our risk checks are designed to catch, which is why the order went to manual review.

That said, we take the feedback seriously and will review our terms and how this case was handled.

Please send me a DM here on LET with the email address of your account so we can locate it and continue from there.
