Please extend my vps for 4th year and price locking.
Got an email from them:
Dear Valued Customer,
We hope this email finds you well.
At MassiveGRID, we have always been committed to delivering exceptional high-availability VPS services with top-tier performance, reliability, and 24/7 support – something we've proudly maintained for over 20 years.
To continue investing in our infrastructure, enhancing service quality, and bringing you even better performance (including improved resources, network optimizations, and additional high-availability features), we need to make a necessary adjustment to our pricing. This affects our 2026 products.
When your next invoice is issued, the price of your 2026 server will be updated. This change will allow us to maintain the premium quality and reliability you expect from us while continuing to scale and innovate for your needs.
You can view the new pricing details directly in your account by logging into our customer portal at: https://portal.massivegrid.com
(Once logged in, navigate to your active services or the pricing/configuration section to see the updated rates applicable to your plan.)
We truly value your business and understand that any price change is important. That's why we want to be very clear:
This is not mandatory — if the new pricing doesn't work for your current needs or budget, you are free to cancel your service at any time before the effective date (or within your usual billing terms) without any penalty. Simply log into the portal to manage your services and place the cancellation request.
For the customers who choose to continue, the enhanced performance and ongoing improvements will make the updated pricing even more worthwhile.
We sincerely thank you for being part of the MassiveGRID community and for trusting us with your infrastructure needs. Your loyalty means a lot to us, and we're dedicated to continuing to provide the secure, high-performance environment that helps your projects thrive.
Best Regards,
MassiveGRID

Lock in fourth year of service
Hi, when your back?
Order Number: 7546623274
Please extend my vps for 4th year, thanks.
Ever since the recent changes in the Frankfurt area, I've been noticing some strange things. It feels like someone is stealing RAM from my system (something that didn't happen before) but now my system is swapping very often.
They insisted from the start that the RAM wasn't shared, but now I have my doubts... Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms too?
Sometimes when I check, I find that my SWAP file has tens of MBs written to it for no apparent reason. I have 10 GB of RAM, more than enough for my project, but something strange is going on.
Their update pricing is comically high for such old hardware
Have the very same problem
My VPS has gone down for the 21st time in the last two months, this is insane.
I think they first acquired clients and then changed the terms without warning. Shared memory wasn't part of the deal. And they didn’t make the use of shared cores clear at any point either. They’re not real shared virtual cores, but rather predefined user usage quotas that they assign by default.
And I can tell you firsthand that the shared cores thing on the VPS is a lie. No matter what you buy, performance barely increases. But don’t worry, they’ll always be there to repeat to you several times: 'If you'd like,we can offer you a 3 day trial period, where we will upgrade the resources of your server to match the configurations of a Dedicated packaging. These packages are not included in the LET offer, and the pricing is similar to the ones that match our website.'...
Once you pay for X virtual cores, it works the same whether you have them all enabled or just 2, for example. It doesn’t change anything at all. I’m paying for 7 and they perform like 1.5 (if I’m lucky). You can get the same performance with 2 as with all 7 enabled. And if I only leave 1 enabled, it performs like 1. Everything else is just a fucking dream full of lies. What a fucking scam.
Massive grid with poor server performance when I tried it. I just left the vps their on their website because their VPS is very poor in performance
"Price Locked For Life"
official statement by a company representative right there.
@yoursunny update the price shame list
they're retiring those service plans, thus end-of-life shrug. they know exactly what they wrote in both communications man.
Sadly as someone who ran a UK business, these rules apply for more strictly and are easier to report /solutions found than other countries.
UK Small courts for example, are strong believers on "intent" rather than your ToS garbage. Your sales thread + results do matter in UK LAW.
The change is concerning, but it doesn’t prove they changed the Terms deliberately to avoid responsibility rather seems causes potential liability for this matter due to the amount of contradictions and failing time-lines.
Under UK consumer law, if you bought mainly for personal use, an unfair term allowing the provider to end or change a long-term service without a fair remedy may be challengeable. It depends on your contract and circumstances.
I'd suggest those involved or hurt by this transaction, file for a late-payment withdrawl, you should be legally allowed to depending on the time-window, contact the UK Ombudsman for tech. or File in small claims court if your a UK resident (it's cheap easy, and you can win by yourself).
AT MINIMUM FILE WITH THE UK Ombudsman FOR THIS MATTER, IF THEY ARE FOUND AT FAULT THERE FINE CAN BE UPWARDS OF 50K PER PERSON.
ok then.
Scam, SCAM.
MassiveGrid should be banned from Lowendtalk and "be locked for life" — a real lock.
We are writing to inform you that the products associated with our LowEndTalk (LET) promotional offer are being retired.
To keep delivering the level of service you expect from us, all affected services will be upgraded free of charge to an equivalent plan from our 2026 product line. These plans offer improved performance and stability.
What will happen
boo. I was so happy to have found a provider with a locked in price and now this.
For customers who purchased the 3 years + 1 year free offer, will we still be able to use the service for the full 4-year term originally promised? Or will the December 1 migration affect the remaining prepaid service period in any way?
@MassiveGRID - So when will that be? After the promised 4 years have passed? And what about that lifetime price lock? Whose lifetime was that?
I think you just threw that out the window. (You didn't even put the slightest apology in your mail...)
@angstrom @fat32 remove @MassiveGRID tag and/or ban them here. Lifetime price lock was promised.
Good question.
I got the news as everyone did. @MassiveGRID will cancel its offer and will make you pay an equivalent paid plan. For example, if you got a 4vCPU 32GB RAM VPS, they will upgrade you to a paid plan with the same specifications and make you pay for it. If you want to cancel paying, here is the quote from their e-mail:
That's it.
No, I don't think the full 4-year offer will continue. You will have to pay or cancel.
Finally, scam uncovered.
