Please extend my vps for 4th year and price locking.

  • Got an email from them:

    Dear Valued Customer,

We hope this email finds you well.
At MassiveGRID, we have always been committed to delivering exceptional high-availability VPS services with top-tier performance, reliability, and 24/7 support – something we've proudly maintained for over 20 years.
To continue investing in our infrastructure, enhancing service quality, and bringing you even better performance (including improved resources, network optimizations, and additional high-availability features), we need to make a necessary adjustment to our pricing. This affects our 2026 products.
When your next invoice is issued, the price of your 2026 server will be updated. This change will allow us to maintain the premium quality and reliability you expect from us while continuing to scale and innovate for your needs.
You can view the new pricing details directly in your account by logging into our customer portal at: https://portal.massivegrid.com
(Once logged in, navigate to your active services or the pricing/configuration section to see the updated rates applicable to your plan.)
We truly value your business and understand that any price change is important. That's why we want to be very clear:

This is not mandatory — if the new pricing doesn't work for your current needs or budget, you are free to cancel your service at any time before the effective date (or within your usual billing terms) without any penalty. Simply log into the portal to manage your services and place the cancellation request.
For the customers who choose to continue, the enhanced performance and ongoing improvements will make the updated pricing even more worthwhile.
We sincerely thank you for being part of the MassiveGRID community and for trusting us with your infrastructure needs. Your loyalty means a lot to us, and we're dedicated to continuing to provide the secure, high-performance environment that helps your projects thrive.

    Best Regards,

    MassiveGRID
    The Secure High-Availability Cloud Provider

  • Ever since the recent changes in the Frankfurt area, I've been noticing some strange things. It feels like someone is stealing RAM from my system (something that didn't happen before) but now my system is swapping very often.

They insisted from the start that the RAM wasn't shared, but now I have my doubts... Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms too?

Sometimes when I check, I find that my SWAP file has tens of MBs written to it for no apparent reason. I have 10 GB of RAM, more than enough for my project, but something strange is going on.

  • Their update pricing is comically high for such old hardware

My VPS has gone down for the 21st time in the last two months, this is insane.

I think they first acquired clients and then changed the terms without warning. Shared memory wasn't part of the deal. And they didn’t make the use of shared cores clear at any point either. They’re not real shared virtual cores, but rather predefined user usage quotas that they assign by default.

And I can tell you firsthand that the shared cores thing on the VPS is a lie. No matter what you buy, performance barely increases. But don’t worry, they’ll always be there to repeat to you several times: 'If you'd like,we can offer you a 3 day trial period, where we will upgrade the resources of your server to match the configurations of a Dedicated packaging. These packages are not included in the LET offer, and the pricing is similar to the ones that match our website.'...

Once you pay for X virtual cores, it works the same whether you have them all enabled or just 2, for example. It doesn’t change anything at all. I’m paying for 7 and they perform like 1.5 (if I’m lucky). You can get the same performance with 2 as with all 7 enabled. And if I only leave 1 enabled, it performs like 1. Everything else is just a fucking dream full of lies. What a fucking scam.
