Thanks for organizing this giveaway! I’d love to use this VPS to host some small personal projects and lightweight services, such as a private monitoring dashboard, a few self-hosted tools, and some automation scripts. The Hong Kong location and connectivity near HKIX also make it an interesting option for testing network performance and latency.
Wow, a nice Hong Kong VPS might be useful for setting up a proxy.
Would love to join! I'm in Chengdu and plan to use it as a small HK relay plus a personal blog and some monitoring scripts. Quick question about AS4658: does traffic to mainland China go through HKIX peers, or mainly through your regular transit? Thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks for the giveaway! I'd use this VPS for uptime monitoring, small self-hosted apps, and testing network connectivity from Hong Kong to Indonesia. How's the routing to Indonesian ISPs?
Hello Netfront team!
Thank you for offering this amazing lifetime VPS deal to the LET community!
I'm interested in learning more about AS4658 and its network connectivity. How is the network routing from Hong Kong to Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam, and what kind of latency can users typically expect?
If I'm lucky enough to win, I plan to use the VPS for lightweight web hosting, API testing, and personal networking projects. The 300 Mbps connection and 1 TB monthly traffic allowance would be perfect for my needs.
Good luck to everyone participating, and thanks for supporting the LET community!
I'd use $1 VPS for a website.
I'd use it to host a few small websites and test some web projects. The HK location is a nice bonus. Thanks for the offer!
Need a new uptime monitor as I keep resetting my current VPS (and don't have any backups) so would love to have a good server closer to me (Aussie so all the US servers generally feel rather laggy)
Count me in, thanks for the giveaway @netfront! I'd use it as a small Hong Kong node for my personal subscription-conversion service and as a lightweight uptime monitoring probe.
I have a blog. Please count me in!
Port/latency check, uptime monitor sure. I'll end up having a HK server so this will be a good addition
