Is anyone else seeing no updates on their server status since September 30th? Mine hasn't been updated at all, and my ticket was transferred to the Billing department. How is it looking for everyone else?
Well, I’m not sure if DC2 has been restored.
However, my server was located on DC2, and today I received a notification that the server is back online. I can also see for myself that it’s online—and all my data is still there.
Keep us updated on your case, because they told me I would have my data by the weekend, and with your case, I'm starting to doubt it. Also, they gave me a server, and I wrote them a ticket saying that it's useless to have it without the data, but the billing days for that server have already started running, which I don't think is fair.
I paid my server invoice on September 18, just five days before everything happened on September 23.
Since then, I have never asked for a refund or even a replacement server. Not once. I understood the terrible situation and never wanted to make things more difficult for VSYS.
But it seems that my patience and understanding have meant very little.
All I’ve asked for is one SQL file, around 250 MB, already saved in a specific folder on a disk that isn’t part of any RAID array.
If the disk is intact and readable, it should be possible to connect it externally, copy that single file and send it through a file transfer service. I could even provide FTP access for the upload. I don’t need the server back, and I don’t need a full disk image.
Since the message I received during the night telling me to wait for a manager, I haven’t received anything else. Yet VSYS wrote here on the forum that they had already replied to me.
Another Thursday has now come to an end, and I still have absolutely no idea what has happened to my file.
I’ve always tried to remain respectful. I’ve never blamed VSYS for the attack or the damage caused by it. I know what happened was terrible.
But at this point, I honestly feel like I’m being taken for a ride.
I don’t know what else I’m supposed to do. I don’t know who else to contact or what else to ask.
Can someone please tell me what I’m supposed to do now? What options do I even have left?
Reading your case makes me think that the message they sent me about giving me my data by the weekend probably won't happen. What’s worse is that they gave me a new server that's already running with paid invoices but without any data. It feels like they want my billing period to run out without data so I can no longer ask for a refund. I sent them two messages and they haven't replied in two days.
@VSYS_Host, at this point, I honestly feel like I’m being taken for a fool.
On October 8, you told me I would have access to my data by Monday or Tuesday. On October 13, you publicly stated that you were working on my server and that my backup could be ready that day or the next.
Today is October 15. I have received nothing.
My server still shows “Awaiting Inspection”. Yesterday I was told to wait for a manager. Then you publicly claimed here that you had already answered my ticket. But the only answer I received was to wait again.
Do you understand how absurd this situation has become?
I’ve been your customer for years. I paid my last invoice on September 18, five days before the incident. I haven’t asked for a refund, a replacement server, or any compensation.
I’ve asked for ONE SQL file of approximately 250 MB. That’s it.
I have lost money, customers, sleep, and almost all my patience. And every time you give me another date that turns out to be wrong, I’m the one who has to face my customers.
So please, enough with the empty promises.
Has my server actually been inspected? Is the disk readable? Does my SQL file still exist?
Three simple questions. I expect three honest answers.
If you don’t know, say you don’t know. If there’s a problem, tell me. But please stop telling me that my data is almost ready when you cannot even confirm the condition of my server.
I have shown you nothing but respect throughout this nightmare. I think I deserve at least the truth.
"I still haven’t received any further updates". You just described receiving SEVERAL updates.
The same since the start.
More than 3 weeks, 0 restored , is that normal ?
last update is 30/09/26
is this normal ? and there is any one here have servers back online ?

That's ALL. No answer - no data
I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I'm not making things up, exaggerating, or imagining anything.
I've already shared screenshots of my support ticket here on the forum. Everything I've said is based on actual conversations with VSYS, their own promises, and the responses I've received.
I'm speaking based on facts, not assumptions.
At this point, I'm even starting to seriously question some of the reports about customers getting their data back. I'm not accusing anyone of lying, but I would really like to understand how many customers with affected dedicated servers, not VPS, have actually recovered their data.
Because from what I've seen, most of the recovery news concerns VPS services, while my dedicated server is still showing "Awaiting Inspection", exactly as before.
Despite being repeatedly told that my server was being worked on and that my backup would be ready soon, I have received absolutely nothing.
The last response I got was simply to wait for a manager to contact me. More than 30 hours later, still nothing. No manager, no technical update, no explanation. So please understand why I'm losing trust.
I'm not asking anyone to believe my words blindly. I've shown the evidence. I'm asking VSYS to explain why their public statements and the reality of my support ticket are so different.
Has my dedicated server actually been inspected, or have I been waiting all this time based on promises that nobody could guarantee? I think after 23 days, I deserve an answer.
Yes, two servers from DC2 have been restored and are functional; however, their status remains "Awaiting verification" (I assume this will be handled manually).
I'm in a similar situation. They supposedly told me that they would hand over my data by the end of the week, but before the data, they gave me another server similar to the one I had even though I told them it's useless to me without my data, and my billing cycle started running as soon as they delivered it. Strange, but the week isn't over yet. I completely understand what you mean about losing trust, because there are no answers or updates after so much time.
Strangely enough, I was never offered a replacement server. I was only informed that servers were available at another location, but obviously without my data.
And since recovering my data is the only thing I've been asking for, a replacement server without it wouldn't solve my problem anyway.
Same here. I haven't received any updates either.
I’m in the same situation. Just today, I refunded nearly €1,500 to my customers.
I’m still waiting for Alexandra to get the server online.
What about 30 euro for backups?
My servers handle a large amount of data and generate a high volume of logs. This wasn’t a simple website where that option would be useful for me.
When you don’t know anything about someone’s business or how their infrastructure works, it’s better not to offer solutions or criticize the way they operate.
I can bet you the amount of money I spend on backups that I handle way more data than you do, and yet somehow I'm not begging a provider that has had their datacenters bombed for updates.
You can backup any data.
folly
Anywho, shoutout VSYS, shoutout Ukraine, fuck all MJJ.
Hold up...
Earlier you admitted to a poorly planned backup procedure. Now the 300MB is so vast that backing up is impossible?
If it's important enough to you (or your clients) it can be backed up.
He runs a streaming site to Iranians. He would need TB's of data sync'd elsewhere for all the media files. Clearly, not in his budget/expertise.
Ah, classic. 1.5k euro, huh?
I’ll answer this stupid question of yours, and I hope you’re the last one.
First, it’s none of your damn business to interfere in other people’s work. Second, when you know nothing about the project that’s running, keep your mouth shut and keep your hands inside your pants.
300 MB to 4 GB of data isn’t movies and TV shows that don’t matter. It contains a huge number of transactions. Do you get it now, idiot?
And just so you understand how much data this project actually has: it contains around 80 TB of data, which the datacenter itself cannot realistically back up. Now, if your tiny brain hasn’t crashed yet, try to imagine the scale of the project.
Please, nobody else try to interfere in my business. I don’t have time for one-dollar people.
Do you get it now, idiot?
broom handle
Is that what you shove up there
Trust me, most people here actually have enough dollars to pay to have proper backups unlike certain somebody
I don’t give a fu..
Who is NEXT?
