a client for uptime monitoring + dns, 16gb is plenty of disk so maybe h@h client.
not suspending after 1TB means can run syncthing relay on it.
if it has good connection to sg, maybe also a nginx proxy.

I'd like to use this VPS as a Hong Kong relay and monitoring node for my home lab.

One question: Is the advertised 300 Mbps bandwidth shared or dedicated? Also, is the 1 TB monthly traffic allowance counted in both directions, and does the speed automatically reset to 300 Mbps at the beginning of the next billing cycle after being throttled to 10 Mbps?

My planned use: I need a reliable relay node in Asia to optimize connectivity to mainland China. Direct routing from my current EU/US locations suffers from high latency and inconsistent performance during peak hours. A HK-based VPS next to HKIX would be ideal for handling this traffic.
