Metanet.ch - Unreachable/Bankrupt

WilliamWilliam Veteran
edited October 12 in Outages

I try since over a week to get a simple email reply, i spent 15eur today to try to call them (and 10eur yesterday, and last week also some - thats a LOT of waiting line)

No one replies.

I sent someone to their office but on Saturday it was of course empty. Today right now it also seems empty.

They are an official LI registrar and i NEED DNS servers registered (required in LI/CH zone by your registrar).

Emergency mobile phones (IX) unreachhable as well

Metanet.ch is a part of Group. One so it's very unlikely the end is near.

    See: https://status.metanet.ch/ or https://status.metanet.ch/components/6937f54e386fb365aa0f075a

  • it says there support only to 15:30 - i called at 10am, 2pm and last week.

Ffs, where do you find such providers. What’s the damage?

  • on their status page today
"Due to a technical issue, we are currently unavailable by phone. We apologize for the inconvenience."

  • Again, i called last week. This ticket is a week old.

I now finally got an answer that they will ignore the entire ticket and i have to resubmit which i already did but they didnt even notice.

    Very happy right now.

Let me guess, you send the ticket with the wrong fake name and email address, so they ignored it.

  • The ticket was sent from customer domain, as it is random email (abxd+metanet@) it cannot be sent from user.

This was never an issue as noc change was requested, this process adds the nameserver for ANY CH and LI domain for use, not just mine, and changes nothing before i change DNS in panel. Anyone can request any DNS to be added and any registrar has to follow.

Also the phone system explicitly told me they are overloaded and someone will pick up while it was apparently entirely disabled.

I want my non-EU phone costs back, ticket 19021627 and ticket 19073482 resolved.

Sure, you non-EU costs have been doubled, thank you for being a customer.

You forget they are EFTA, i have practically same rights as a citizen.
The phone system lied to me, which entitles me to a refund of my costs. I am not a business customer that has to eat them.

Still less then on adult line to speak with granny with nice voice.

Sane people have a mobile subscription with minimum x hour free calls to 30+ countries, if not free calls to all countries.

    You should try that.

No provider in Croatia offers such a thing. I call from the most expensive HT plan.
We include minutes to ex Yugoslavia, not Switzerland.

    More flood after call issues.

49c/min? are you calling from a Mars?

No, from Croatia and Switzerland is non-EU. A call to Nigeria costs me the same.

49c was a guess, in reality its more.

Calling Options & Costs with Hrvatski Telekom

    • Standard International Rates (without options):
    • To Swiss Landline: ~1.20 EUR to 1.50 EUR per minute
    • To Swiss Mobile: ~2.30 EUR to 2.88 EUR per minut

Another Unreachable/Bankrupt situation, such situations usually unfold this way

    Metanet: unreachable
Metanet Customer: bankrupt (or getting closer)

  • As huge as they claim to be a week unreachable is absurd.

It reminds me of a guy who worked at my first company 30 years ago, and whom I later worked for. He works at Group. One today.

Back then, he made a blind line in the PBX so that when phone salesmen and other annoying people called, they got transferred to an endless waiting queue with annoying music.

It's kind of funny that a self-proclaimed terrorist has problems with the phone system in a sister company.

Sounds like a shit company. Also impossible here as not even a secretary picked up and i do not send a phone number on calls.

    Inaccurately.
All Croatian national mobile network operators offer a "World" option. I use that type of subscription.

Oh, then there must be another reason.

  • Where do you live these days? You were in Israel last I remember. Also get a VoIP account thats pay-as-you-go. You never know when you’ll need phone support.

We are In Montenegro but within the Croatian mobile network at the border

Now i get told that they dont own gigahost.no and thus cant add the DNS, absolutely retarted people - this is their own fuxking error message.

Swiss NIC added them for me in the end.

Off my domains go to Infomaniak.

  • There is like gazillions of voiceip providers like Viber where you pay for Pennie’s to make worldwide calls why not use them?

Some providers require you to call from the account phone number and i have this same number since 2020 on her account, but yes i should have reserached - i did not expect LI and CH to be zone 3 (Africa and Asia) and not zone 2 (ExYu, Albania, most of non EU Europe)

Wife bitched at Hrvtski Telecom and they refund the 15€, she can be very unpleasingly annoying
