In this case it is 'Good Luck With Shitposting', but I believe the usual meaning is 'Good luck with sales'
GLWS = Good Luck With Sale
GLWR = Good Luck With Request
GLWT = Good Luck With Transfer
Back when this 'first' and 'glws' stuff started there were some providers that rewarded the first poster with free stuff or bonuses.
Firstn’t
GLWS ♥
the end is nigh
I think it’s an MJJ thing inherited from MJJ forums where the sales thread might offer extra perks for the first few comments. Or from YouTube comments
Nah, those first second are comments for local kids, who feel keyboard ninjas here and have plenty of free time.
It happened here too, occasionally.
Really? I know ‘next 5 comments win’ type of giveaways exist, but not this one.
Yeah, but 1 or 2 years ago. Not anymore recently - greedy providers
I've got a bonus comenting first. I don't really remember what it was, but I've got something. Long time ago, as I said it.
GLWT
Hint to providers and to @jbiloh: when the first half or so page of a sales/promo threat contains mostly that "first" etc., "glws" garbage (certainly not only) I tend to simply click away and ignore that thread.
And maiming sales highly likely is NOT what LET wants.
$7
Because there are no enforced rules against posting spam comments
Yes, i see glws and 'first' and immediately move on. The offer posts I typically buy do not attract that stuff.
I don't like this type of content. I'm going to look into it.
It's a plague.
Agreed.
It may need killing.
That's a really nice cheap replica watch you got there man, I like it a lot.

I got one exactly like yours from turkey last week, it fits really nice.
And it looks expensive which is very great though not surprising because I'm used to that.
How about the type of content where people repeat after a certain purple daddy about certain slop panel like a flock of sheep?
Free shit should be given only to prime numbered posts larger than 3.
Yes, can the "post your invoice number for double the spam" content be dealt with together with this?
No way.
Why shitposting on mega threads? I lose all the deals because of shitposting. Isn't it?
Why drawing? Inadequate and indecent. Isn't it?
It's just fun. Just LET community. As in the real life when sometimes all what we can say is just "wazzuuuup" and nothing more. But it keeps the vibe.
Same applies to "first" and "glws". It's fun.
Or do you want to transform this into W*T? Hell no!
Edit:
Also, what is the point of mega thread squad? What for? If not to entertain the community. It will be impossible to post just technical posts.
I think @jsg doesn't understand. It's built on the presumption that generic reply hinder sales or further interactions.
Have you seen offer threads without a single reply? It's saddening as the hosts doesn't have a single chance to interaction with the forum users. Even a single "hi" increase the friendliness factor, which many of us would feel compelled to continue the conversation. Thus, the probability of sales without those generic replies are lower than those with.
Nice one!
I don't really like abbreviations or shortened words. We live in an era of internet, with large storage available in databases of servers. There is no need to shorten text, because we don't use ink and paper here. However I guess some people feel better this way, so let them be happy.
Sometimes abbreviations just becomes the vocab itself, lol. Nobody said "laugh out loud". Some of them exist for a reason; some however exist just for the sake of creating a "walled garden" such that nobody outside understand.
