That might be true, but even if I despise the giveaway threads I admit that there is a purpose to it. People are not shitposting in them just to make noise, they actually gain something by doing it. I hate it, but I understand it. Also, those threads are created by the provider with the sole purpose of making people do completely irrelevant posts. Nuisance, yes, but it is so by design.
The "first, second, third" kind of noise on the other hand is unfathomable for me. It is really just complete garbage, it fills no purpose whatsoever and nobody gains anything from it. I can not for the life of me understand why people feel the need to make noise just for the sake of making noise.
I dislike both phenomenon, but one of them I can at least understand even if nobody would be happier then me if it disappeared.
