Thanks WHMCS! Here's to another price increase from WHMCS, after Cpanel announcement. These increases are becoming more and more ridiculous

Can someone vibe-code a WHMCS alternative for me?

    I use Paymenter & CE.

They're seeing how high they can take it before a meaningful drop in actual users. It's billing, so many companies already on their system will pay it rather than endure the massive pain that is switching to a competitor.

Not really, they are full of bugs and a few were rooted pretty quickly. Check the forum, a few people presented their panels here.

It's much more safe, to "Vibe code" if you know what your doing.

But that can be made easy i you dont want an entire WHMCS, Simple biling, management of just the services you provide any top-tier model makes short work of this.

A little knowledge and investigation into packages will help you massively, say you choose Python. Finding yourself on github or other platforms large contributed, long-existing actively used packages that handle billing, or interaction to DirectAmin, or any other API use one that is good and exists.

Largest problem with almost all of these "VIbe Coded" BS is not that the person can't code, they can't which is huge problem but you can still achieve safe code-bases relatively easy AI like's to simply start from 0 and it does a great job but bugs, exploits and easier to hit this way.

Running a safe language, within a safe web-framework with majority of code-base being existing packages not only will you have a product fast, it'll be a safe one.

E.g if you picked Golang providing a package like oauth https://github.com/golang/oauth2 wll have it directly leverage this safe-codebase rather than it attempt it's own auth system.

I believe the only reliable options are:

    • Blesta
    • ClientExac
    • HostBill
    • Upmind
    • Paymenter
    • WiseCP

There may be others that I am not aware of, please free to mention them.

less customers paying more is probably a win right? anyway i'm sure you're right.

Coding is solved problem. You only need fantasy and plan. Buy few billion tokens and start generating.

  • ascicodeascicode Member

Price increasing and amount of bugs too. But none will be solved until someone gets hacked again.

WHMCS is the slowest thing i have ever used in php,

    Proove me wrong,
I cant see underlying code since it uses some dead-ass encryption but I am pretty sure it doesn't looks any good

Whmcs is laravel or symfony afaik. It is encrypted with ioncube, which is decent encryptor.

Idk but its either the dead ass encryption or whcms itself that's slow 🐌
