My UPDATED experience with Cloudblast (aka it's over)

Yeah so... I wrote a review last week on Cloudblast.
I guess a bunch of folks decided to use Cloudblast for cheap bandwidth like I was... and now today I get an email:

Honestly completely fair for Cloudblast to do this, was probably unsustainable for them for folks (incl. me) to be using that much bandwidth. But still quite disappointed. I probably won't be using Cloudblast anymore going forward, they are still a great hosting provider but I need the unlimited bandwidth.

why not get a dedicated server then?
Too expensive
Looking at @SKRIME rn
We have this saying here that goes, "ucuz etin yahnisi yavan olur", which translates to "the stew of cheap meat is insipid" meaning that cheap stuff usually doesnt have the highest quality.
You can try hostwild or hostdzire VPS they provide 30 TB monthly bandwidth with each VPS.
So you're why we're now all limited to 1/100th of what you use.
@cloudblast
Instead of generally asking for a low payment per TB (over transfer budget of VM) I suggest to, at least in addition to how you now do it, offer larger Traffic packages, e.g. in 50 TB/mo steps.
Why/advantage? Rather than seriously limiting the vast majority of customers wrt traffic volume, isn't it more sensible to let everyone have a generous included traffic package like say, 10 or 20 TB and let only pay high guzzlers for reasonably large packages.
So a customer using 220 TB in a month would have to pay 1 x standard VPS price (incl. e.g. 20 TB) + 4 x 50TB packages.
TL;DR normal users are not punished for high traffic of heavy consumers -and- high consumers can get hundreds of TB at a reasonable price.
Thanks for the suggestion, this is being considered.
We might raise limits for higher plans (I doubt the cheap plans will change as we're already one of the cheapest providers out there in terms of resources, and with all the price hikes we're really struggling to keep the prices low but that's something we really want to keep as long as we can.)
Currently reviewing the usage of non-abusive clients to then decide what kind of limits to set, if ever we will go for something that will cover most of the users usage.
Imagine u found cave with full diamond, and u tell other people to join this cave
Please just make it unmetered FUP. That gives you more flexibility to allow high usage without allowing unreasonable usage like 500 TB/mo.
100mbps unmetered 😉?
Well hopefully 33 TB/mo would count as fair use, even if the port is faster!
Then why not throttle the bandwidth of users who chronically abuse their VPS under FUP ???
Peace out, I'm done with Cloudblast as well. Even though my usage is only around 1 TB a day, I'll just let my balance run out over the next couple of days. I can already see €0.50 deducted today for the traffic pool. Does anyone have recommendations for other providers? OVH or something similar?
Because we prefer to offer clarity over receiving a load of tickets of angry abusers asking for refunds after we throttled them.
Would have required a 5-10 Mbps throttling anyway, which would have caused them to come and complain.
We aim to offer a premium service, high resources, high bandwidth hourly billing, and to be able to offer a quality experience to everyone, we simply can't oversell bandwidth.
I think the included traffic for the price is not low, and the extra bandwidth is priced correctly (1.5/TB for non HK locations). Add to that that the bandwidth is accrued into the Bandwidth Pools and the un-used traffic never expires.
Im sorry, but are you using dedicated 1.5Gbps line entire month and you want cheap ? That abuse not FUP
1Gbps port dedicated on most provider are like 25-40$ alone depend on location
I think you already expected this to happened after your 500tb previous post 😜
I imagine they are already regretting this very much.
Any new providers willing to take me on? :P
You can use Unesty. I mean, it’s fully unmetered. But dont use it for things like Tor, email, or anything that gets more than around 6 GB/s incoming traffic. Their DDoS protection sucks and will probably become a headache.
For normal high bandwidth usage, you can probably push around 1–3 PB without issues. There’s no port throttling either.
Also, if you want, there’s currently a promo running on their site.
Probably @OVHcloud would have enough capacity.

Well, if you haven't already got totally obliterated by offers in DM, I would persoanlly assume the answer is not a positive one. :P
Good thing the provider offering 150Mbps link in 2026 gave his opinion.
Couldn't live without it.
Thanks for checking out our website.
So Cloudblast is losing another valuable customer, should they start worrying?
Thank you for your very positive description of me as a customer. I really appreciate it!
Whats wrong with HostDZire? Because we don't offer 500TB BW vps with 1$ month price?
so @xHosts were considering open some slots from their Unmetered line-up, don't know the specs & pricing tho
