Products/services too cheap to be viable — a more mature provider may have the capacity to offer services cheaper or even at a loss to gain market share. A new provider might struggle with that, resulting in outages, overselling, etc. This happens a lot with “summer hosts”.
Why? Are you planning to start something new after selling your "estabished VPS business"?
obviously vibe-coded websites
if you can't spend the time to at least make it look like a human being had any input on your front page you aren't going to spend enough time so your servers work
not in vps product line but something diff ?
still what can be done for gaining trust
yeh good point, but better having a frontend than not having any, and AI designs are getting better quite fast enough
oh yeh, this is very relevant to me,I can not burn money and so never gave dirt cheap offers + very bad at marketing
I always check provider's customer reviews
Starting with low prices, or entering a market like LET when you’re not established, seems wrong from a business perspective. But once you’re established and have a mature service, it can be a good source of publicity.

no reviews or almost very low reviews in this case no ?
a huge red flag is asking for shortcuts to being trusted.
That is non negotiable,
also I am asking about what plays key role for trust? support, pricing, offer etc in that sense
prolly ai support?
red flag ?
Lack of status page and incident history. If it's all 100% and little incident history, that's a flag too. Transparency and communication are more important than appearing to have great uptime.
Post your invoice number for double the spam.
Also poorly configured WHMCS that gives you free additional IPs or storage or whatever, if you change from monthly to yearly payment.
Have your own ASN! That goes a very long way in establishing trust.
Also, be honest about origins, whether you're a reseller, whether you're new to the business, etc. I personally am happy to give new providers a chance if they seem like they're competent.
A huge red flag are fake reviews.
such a good list to tick off, thanks
Selling the previous business and immediately starting a new one
@VeloxMedia 's lewis
As long as its not in same product line, i don't find anything wrong here !
If the provider has bad smell - it is automatically voided. The smell usually is putrid vinegar stench with rotten fish and sewage juice.
Here’s what @forest missed:
I think s/exit/middle/ since it's legitimate for a service to prohibit exits because it damages their subnet's reputation (although I do wish more providers allowed them). But prohibiting middles is nothing more than virtue signalling a hatred of privacy.
🦅: what did u say?
Romania or Turkye providers with AI and bad or no translations.
Hi,
imprint / legal identification of the company ( name, address, identification number, ... ).
Not existing? Dont pick it under no circumstances.
When exactly established ( check the domain, check the company formation )
Ask the internet for the name of the company. Ask the internet for the name of the CEO.
Countercheck all given information on the website via AI and your favorite search engine ( while your own search with the search engine is ALWAYS more trustworthy than anything that AI will give you )
Payment method available that gives you the chance to dispute it? -> Use it.
Last, but not least, ask in forums like this one here. There are some people active here who will help you filter out the worst.
And as the golden rule: Dont start straight with the 500 EUR / day contract. Start small, risk management.
Good luck!
