I pay 30€/m for 3 dedis, which are mostly idle 24/7 except a few apps.
Do I keep renewing them? Yes
I am a bot, duh
Well thats why I would rather pay €30 for a single dedi but not idle it. Different personal choices
I'm lucky I got a 4x4 for €30 at least, but still need moar space
Prices for everything has gone crazy!!
Couple years ago I bought a couple of WD Blue 8tb HDD for $155 CAD ea. now I see Amazon selling the same drives for $450 ea.
Thats true but i dont think it matters for ovh since the drives have already done their job for 10 years and then they put them inside kimsufi servers.
I heard rumors that a guy called @allthemtings recently got his hands on such device.
Maybe you are able to negotiate a deal.
This is distributed idle'ling, so 30€ for 3 isn't as bad as 1 for 30€.
If you have B's only. But a C cup is bigger in size.
Just got a RISE-S with baby disks

I'm too old to remember the specs of that one... was it available in US locations or others?

Is KS-2 ever available to order? I keep refreshing the page every day, but it is never available.
I have never seen it in stock for like 2-3 weeks atleast. You gotta set up a notification bot or something like that. Refreshing the page is slow
They get snagged by bots before ever reaching the site
I've been tracking KS-2 stock for about the last three weeks, literally nothing has come in; there was about 45 seconds for Gravelines (a day or two ago) but not even long enough for an order to be created - usually things restock around the start of the month but barely anything stocked for September, shows they definitely are running dry on hardware. 👀
I mean with the new KS-5 options it looks as if they go low on 450GB NVMe drives so they added the 1.2TB NVMe options as they still have some. The SYS-LE-1 at OVH-US also came with 512GB drives, no 450GB.
Lastly checked the site, clicked on offer button, sadly oos in same second.
First proper restock of the month, Montreal. I went a bit overboard and ordered four units aha, it went out of stock on the website after the first order started processing (strange) but all four units delivered right away. Summary was absolutely no decent upgrades, the usual D-1541 over D-1540 and 10gbp/s ports (download only) but that's it - no 4x 4TB disk configuration which is what I was after but a single 10gbp/s duplex machine in that (BHS6, rest delivered as advertised in BHS7); will end up selling this machine likely in the next day or two - I'd imagine especially in this climate, disk upgrades will be rare.
10 GB and CPU upgrade? Goddamn
I am planning to DROP - KS-LE-1 at - 22 September 2026

Put it in Service Transfers, I'm very sure someone is gonna jump at it the second you start the thread :P
I've been looking for a KS-6 to idle. Knew I should've jumped at the one from last week but I didn't need the 2x1tb NVMes lmao.
Huh, I just saw it in stock like 1-2 hours ago but it's gone now
Aw shucks! I've just been casually refreshing, not invested enough to set up a tracker I suppose lol
