Looking for a job in Tech Support
Hey all, i'm looking for a job in tech support in a senior tech role/sysadmin/supervisor position for either full time/part time US graveyard shift. / European morning hours.
I have over 15 years of experience with Linux, cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk Virtualizor, SolusVM, VirtFusion and more having worked at a number of positions with hosting providers.

I don’t think so. Tech support and hardware are still essential ai cant replace human troubleshooting or physical infrastructure. Why do you believe they’ll vanish so soon?
Gig workers will do that work.
There are two social classes: Platform Capitalists and the Precariat. Valuable physical infrastructure is owned by Platform Capitalists while the precariat does the gig work needed to keep things working. Gig workers are allowed to own some low value stuff but not high value items.
You are right sir, the only thing you can do is stop using there services and stop buying there products, then eventually they will go out of business.

I am also in that same position although I certainly don't have 15 years! Do you have any certificates that are still current (and maybe any of them that were active in the last 5 years but are expired)?
Yeah I had cPanel certifications, I did them multiple times and yeah they are expired at the moment but if needed I can renew them
I'm also open to a per ticket roles or part time roles too.

Correct, $7/year cannot pay for tech support.
The solution is to delete the server and block the account without notice, on the first sight of any problem.

EDIT: I know there are many people here who like to see themselves as temporarily embarrassed platform capitalists, as future business tycoons, instead of the permanent precariats that they actually are. Those people become very annoyed when someone puts a mirror in front of them and forces them to see themselves as they actually are. I'm sorry I have to be that guy but reality is what it is and they will have to live with it, no ifs no buts.
