Industry price on ASN
Planning to own an ASN (ipv4/ipv6). What would be the cheapest, but still reliable pricing nowadays?

The question is very vague because it depends on the RIR you want to register with, the
lease lengh terms (monthly, annually, etc), would you rent a /24 block with it as well, etc.
ASN without any IPs is around 70-100€, sometimes you get some IPv6 for free with it.
I'm assuming RIPE. ARIN/APNIC/etc. is a different story.
ASN: ~€60/yr, usually a one-time fee as well.
IPv4 /24: €75-100/mo
IPv6: some LIRs include a free /48 PA with your ASN, otherwise usually dirt cheap €10-30/yr.

LIR pays this to RIPE they can technically charge you more.
Yearly fees, requirements for upstream (not enforced) and very specific jargon. You MUST know networking at least in advanced mode.

We do this as a RIPE LIR, operating as Threatoff. 69.99€/yr plus a 19.99€ one-time setup, and a /48 IPv6 is included rather than extra.
On the process, it's straightforward from your side. You provide your organisation details, we submit the request to RIPE with a short justification of why you need your own AS number, which for BGP with an upstream is routine. Once assigned you manage maintainer, RPKI, ROAs and rDNS yourself in our panel.

Some info that might be useful to know
The ASN is the client's ASN, the LIR (unless committing fraud) can not revoke, or alter the ASN once registered without client permission. The worse the LIR can do is de sponsor the ASN meaning the client has to go find another sponsor instead (fairly trivial process)
What I am saying is, the ASN is low risk of being lost and if you go with a shady and cheap LIR, in theory you will be ok if worse case situations comes up
That said, with things like IPv6/IPv4 leases (Not PIs) is not the case. Cheaper doesnt not mean better in reality there. You will need to find an LIR which is stable and wont randomly revoke/reclaim your IP space forcing you to renumber at a moment's notice
Additionally its important to talk to your providers for IP leases as some will give you full reign and maintainer control, even using your own abuse-c object in the whois while others will not allow that level of control for an end user
Another factor to consider is abuse. Abuse will happen... (but an "if" but a "when") How your provider handles/deals with this is also worth finding out. If your provider will get a single port scanning abuse report in their inbox, will they instantly revoke the IP space or will they forward you the abuse reports and open a line of communication with client to fix/solve the issue first?
tldr:
with ASN registration, go with the cheapest, its fairly low risk even if 'worse case' happens
with IPv6/IPv4 leases go with reputable providers that fit your delegation needs and are known to work with their clients and not against them
