Vpshostingservice.co Terrible service
in General
So i wanted a low latency US west unmetered 1 gig dedicated , i checkout vpshostingservice on the deals page on LET ,They were running a deal 42$ on Intel E3-1240 so i Ordered LA , At first they took terribly long to deliver , and when they delivered it, it was the wrong location . Now at first support gave vague answers and since 2 days support has gone dark completely ignoring. its been almost 5 days
Terrible provider. Most people like me run a business and don't want to do OVH KYC.
Avoid at all costs

Not sure what kind of support level you expected to get on such ultra low budget deals.
2 days is not even long enough for such name-and-shame threads.
Have similar experience but they fixed it after changing the IP
Seems only Chinese customers afraid of KYC.
i do not prefer paying 40$ upfront and paying some indian dude another 50$ to do KYC for me.
nor do i prefer Palantir to have my data
Jokes aside 42$ for 2011CPU + ddr3 is NOT ultra low budget .
I'd expect to get delivered the right thing regardless of price.
@tpoll
Not with this provider. I’m at the 6 month mark of waiting for mine and @tpoll is completely unresponsive
I ordered a Dublin VPS but received a US based VPS. Although the IP was changed, it remained US based. After two weeks, the VPS became inaccessible with packet loss and connectivity issues. They offered a replacement, but despite requesting a Dublin VPS with a Dublin geo located IP, I received a Chicago based VPS instead. Very disappointing service.
You sure that's not a problem with the geofeed? I also have one in Dublin but the databases say it's in the US. It's very much not in the US, though.
use globalping website to see your true location, that is the node with the fastest ping. The Ip database is hopelessly outdated. Never rely on that data too much.
I use https://ipinfo.io for that since it doesn't require credits and automatically determines the correct location.
cool! Didnt know that one. Looks like you can do gratis unlimited api calls for standard ip info.
I believe that's because they don't send a probe every time you call the API. They cache it. That also means they're pretty much limited to estimating geographic location, unlike Globalping which can also test real-time reachability and connectivity from various reasons.
@runnerfromfeds
Sorry about the provisioning delay. Please PM us your order number or ticket ID so we can investigate and get this resolved.
The server comes with unmetered bandwidth so this price is great.
We're working on resolving your issue.
I'm not sure of your particular circumstance; however, many of Dublin Colocrossing servers come deployed from Colocrossing with US based IP with incorrect geolocation.
PM me your order number and I'll look into it for you.
Thank you for defending our honour.
We really do our best in offering quality service at the lowest price.
The problem is inconsistency. For example, your Ireland service is awesome. The performance is incredible for the price, but your Canada service regularly suffers 60-80% CPU steal (which is objectively a sign of something going wrong, not merely not being "CPU-optimized") and your support staff seem unable to figure out how to do a VM migration without losing data.
+1
Noticed the same thing across CC resellers
@tpoll has not responded at all despite false promises from him.
The manager mark also has given false hopes
As the time of writing this my local time approaches 29 August
its been 8 awfully long days of no business. I asked for a refund or delivery within 12 hours
Still no response.
So you DM'd your ticket id?
Afraid of KYC, no just not a fan with how they do it. Many ways can be created to validate someone, instead the world choose uploading your personal documents, and picture to various third-party platforms.
Still to this day, I refuse any provider, service, or even hardware that will KYC me.
Yes of course. The manager said we are not able to yet find the cause and are still 'investigating" . Just Bs & false hopes
I Asked for a full refund
Time and time again we learn that providers outsource KYC to offshore companies
who are notorious for mishandling your data. They dont give a fuck.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and the delay you have experienced.
To help me investigate this matter as quickly as possible, may I ask that you forward the invoice number or the ticket ID associated with your order? Once I have those details, I will review the situation and follow up with the appropriate team immediately.
I appreciate your patience, and I look forward to your reply.
