It's incredibly good with vulnerability research, but just because it can't discover the vulnerabilities that it itself creates doesn't mean it writes code with fewer vulns. Even recent research shows that it's as bad (and often worse) than a human programmer, it just happens to create different classes of bugs.

Now don't get me wrong, AI is amazing and is rapidly improving, but its ability to write secure code is still paradoxically lacking (despite its strong ability to find human-made bugs).

That's true but in perspective, AI + A good human is 100X better than a single human without AI.

A developer not using AI for coding it's just funny nowadays, and It's funny how companies that are obviously shitty/local companies especially in Europe are so against AI that they prefer having shittified code because that developer has a 30% syntax knowledge of whatever language it's just comical.

Not by coincidence the AI adoption is more in developed countries

you can setup your own server and just change an endpoint in the terminal and boom it works! incredible right?

We're giving cloudblast sync for FREE, tf you want more, and it's not mandatory anyway, we don't ask you to login when you open the app the first time.

  • You could always self host something like Termix.

As other mention before, AI productivity gain is much massive for sure, but spending code reviewing AI-generated code would took time than writing it. Unless you didn't know what you doing. Its mostly trade one problem which writing code for another reviewing code.

Europe are so against AI that they prefer having shittified code because that developer has a 30% syntax knowledge of whatever language it's just comical.

If we take a look plenty of mid-size market companies in europe which mostly target of AI-adoption product and result was unmaintainable system.

Also some Europe and USA country was target early AI-adoption, probably if out-of-touch but I was see mostly was adoption make it more not sense cause it making talent pools getting worse and mid-size company probably really hard to afford the risks.

I think its more like reflect concern about building brittle and non-performant software rather than stubborn techno-phobia.

What is a “Transfer Station (中转站)”?
A transfer station (中转站) is what the Chinese developer ecosystem calls an API proxy–an overseas server that sits between a developer and Anthropic’s infrastructure. It accepts API requests, forwards them as if they originated from the transfer station’s location, and passes the response back. The user redirects their software to the proxy’s server instead of Anthropic’s, and pays the API proxy RMB via WeChat or Alipay. This sidesteps both the VPN and the overseas credit card needed for direct access. Prominent transfer stations are catalogued in community repositories and ranked by real-time price and uptime. Below them, a longer tail of small and individual projects comes and goes.

    You really made me laugh.

    CloudTerm 1.3.0 Changelog

    Repo: https://github.com/BradPerbs/cloudterm
    Downloads: https://cloudblast.io/terminal

    What's new in 1.3.0:

Host monitoring. Any host can be watched while the app is open. A timer
opens a TCP connection to it and closes it again, and you get one desktop
notification on the crossing from answering to not. TCP rather than ICMP on
purpose: a box whose NIC replies while sshd is dead is not one you'd call up.
Refused and timed out are reported differently, since they're different news.
It waits for two consecutive failures before calling anything down, discards a
sweep where every host failed (that's your link, not twenty outages), and
holds off after the laptop wakes. Off by default, and opt-in per host.

IPMI/BMC in a tab. Add a board's address and it opens the vendor's own web
UI already signed in. Supermicro, iDRAC, iLO, OpenBMC and AMI MegaRAC. Scheme is detected, self-signed certs are trust-on-first-use
like an SSH host key. A BMC can also be a host on its own, for the boxes you
    never SSH into.

Optimization. Installer is about 10% off every platform despite the new features:
Windows 101MB (down from 160MB), macOS 123MB, Linux 130MB. And approximately 20MB lighter on RAM usage.

Smaller stuff. Optional launch at login on Windows and macOS. Update check
now runs on every launch instead of once a day, so reopening the app actually
does something when you think it missed a release. Proper app icon on all three
    platforms.

    Feedback welcome.

    I really like it.
Currently, I use MobaxTerm; CloudTerm's design is different. I'll probably get used to it, but a few themes would be great, or even more customization options.
I also like the monitoring features on MobaxTerm that allow me to see CPU/RAM, disk, and Network activity.

Please get it on CloudTerm as well.

I saw an option via SFTP to edit files locally, but I'm being asked which editor I want to use. Sometimes I want to edit a config file quickly, and MobaXterm offers a built-in editor.
I prefer this way over using Notepad++; the number of open text files rises quickly in Notepad++ and can sometimes be a mess.

I will follow further updates to see where this project goes! I will keep my eyes on it.

It’s a pretty interesting move, and the client itself is well made, but there’s still room for improvement. From the very first glance and beyond, it’s very obvious how the Terminus design concept was borrowed and adapted, but that’s just how it is.

A downside for me personally is that there’s no way to completely hide the AI Agent to free up more space for the console and only reveal it when needed. Personally, I find the empty space when it’s hidden a bit annoying (as shown in the screenshot). For example, this button could be moved to the toolbar where you create a new host, or to the section that appears once you’re connected to the server the one with “Take a screenshot” and “Find terminal.”

Please add the ability to invite people to the terminal or a folder as well.

@cloudblast can the RAM usage get lowered?

  • cloudblastcloudblast Member, Patron Provider

@rpqu said: can the RAM usage get lowered?

Yes, can be reduced more, in the 1.3.0 there is already an optimization which shrink the usage by 20-30MB.

Consider that now with 2 tabs open on Windows uses around 380MB of which 200 are just empty Electron.

It's already lighter than Termius from my tests.

380MB in average vs 450-500MB of termius with the same 2 tabs open on RAM.

Very nice, this worked out, thought I just have to accept in settings app like with other apps.

Being able to select Agent as the auth method is quite nice too, I can select my 1password socket and just use the SSH keys from there and not having to worry about E2E and so on.
