Found a 4-core Intel Dedi with nvidia 3050 8G vRAM GPU in India from Indian DC NCXHOST.com
As you may know from previous discussions, I moved my hosting to Asia with Asian companies, and I am always looking for Asian providers offering services in Asia.
I was searching for a low-cost dedicated machine from an Asian provider in Asia. To my surprise, I found a legitimate-looking offer from NCXhost.com in India.
It is a Tier III data centre in the north-east of India offering direct services. I needed the machine for more than basic computing, such as hosting for AI and ML.
Dedicated Machine with GPU listed as GPU GN1 Nano:
8 GB VRAM (GPU) - nvidia 3050
4 Cores - 4 Threads - Core i5-6500
16 GB RAM
1TB NVMe SSD
IPv4 & IPv6 Dedicated IP address
Unlimited Bandwidth
7999 INR/month or ~84 USD/month
I inquired about the provisioning time, and was told that it is 72 hours. Private email hosting is also permitted, as I requested. Some premium options, such as the G2 with an RTX 4090, are available for next-day delivery. [Way out of my budget, though.]
There is also a 20% recurring discount: AIRESEARCH
Note: I have no affiliation with the provider other than being from the same country and continent, nor do I receive any monetary benefit for sharing this information. I just found out about this Budget Dedicated Machine with GPU option. This is something new for me, especially from an Indian provider.
According to my communications with support:
This is their way of giving back to the student and research community.
Could this system be a good option for beginners in AI/ML research and academia?
For this flat price, I get a decent Nvidia dGPU compute system that I can run 24/7. It is neither sliced nor shared with anyone else and there are no other limits whatsoever. The bandwidth is unlimited too.
I suppose these are the perks of the services offered by a new data centre.
Should I try this? What do you think?
