Nothing against DediRock but how are they premium? They're just a CC reseller. They don't even know how to turn on AES-NI.

    Hey @forest

We are always working towards better service and learning from the challenges that come up :)

@onidel is a great example of how a premium host operates.

    Thanks

thanks @Skelter and everyone else - especially the fellow providers - for the kind words. It genuinely means a lot to us.

there are many great providers out there, and we are grateful whenever Onidel is considered one of your top choices. Our goal is to be a provider you can trust to host your services with confidence and peace of mind.

we will keep improving our platform and services to deliver the best value we can. If there's a feature, location, or anything else you'd like to see, feel free to send us a DM or post a suggestion in our provider thread.

on that note, we've just released support for SSO (Google & GitHub) and passkeys to make your account even more secure

I've been buying VPS for many years before arriving on LET in 2022, where sometimes I expected nothing, and got nothing; Rarely I got more than I expected, but it happened before.

    What I never got, was the sense that you had dedicated professionals around the clock looking after their shit. No waiting days for tickets to be answered (If its not your fault that something's not working);

This is the closest I've got to a premium service for a modest price on LET (Given the package as a whole). The price is a bit steeper than the competition, but... is it really competition?

With @onidel for the first time, I have the confidence to use an LET provider for production. I'm sure there are others here up to the task, but we like cheap stuff, and @onidel is the closest to cheap that got me an excellent service and support so far.

Eagerly waiting for EU servers

Keep up the good work guys.

It works stable and have option for memory encryption,

even privacy terms statement that they can dig into your information any time, it looks like they respect people privacy.

@Fingers said: even privacy terms statement that they can dig into your information any time, it looks like they respect people privacy.

If you use the memory encryption (and encrypt your disk and use remote attestation), they won't be able to dig into your information even if they are ordered to do so.

But disk is not encrypted when system is working ? What is remote attestation

Also, thats the only company i use that have that memory encryption button,

how to do with other servers without that memory encryption on their end ?

@Fingers said: how to do with other servers without that memory encryption on their end ?

No other way. You can protect yourself against offline attacks by encrypting the disk, but as long as your VPS is powered on and the disk is mounted, the provider can, if they try, access your system in its entirety.

I found that to host a site or an app in tor network, there is no need for public ip address, can do that from a hotel with laptop, using webtunnel bridges

That's true, but that also means you have to keep your laptop on 24/7 if you want your site to be accessible all the time.

Using them in production works well and reliable. Soon, I'll give their S3 a try, primarily for user-uploaded content via one of my side projects (a Twitter-like social media platform for Indians only).

Maybe LET should add "Premium price" tag since few hosts here has the price tag that rivals hyperscalers.

It feels like premium, but it doesn't cost like its premium, at all (Not cheap either)

Trust me, you'll find the premium price tags here sometimes, and when I do , I ask myself, "what am I missing for not paying 2x, 3x, 5x of what I'm used to, on LET?"

The closest I've ever got to know the answer to that question, was by buying from @onidel , maybe.
I'm not paying the 5x more, if you ever do, please make a review. We want to know.

I still love other providers here that I've praised in the past , bought a VPS (4 core 8GB RAM 120GB SSD which is incredibly snappy) for 20.99€ a year, you can't beat that price, you can't also demand the same support level.

The biggest problem for such a premium provider is that I don't feel good cancelling their services and will idle until the day I can no longer afford to do so

Its better to hurt your wallet than to hurt their feelings. There are good providers, and there are really good costumers also

I confess: I'm an @onidel fan too. In fact I have one of my Asia/Oceania reference server with Onidel. IMO the best quality deal in SGP I know of.
