Chicago VDS with high single-core performance
I'm looking to merge some of my current game servers, so i'm looking for something with high single core performance.
My requirements:
- 4-6 DEDICATED non-shared 9950X/9700X/9800X3D cores (or anything similar single-core performance wise)
- 10-12GB memory
- 200GB+ ssd/nvme
- 1Gbps port with 2-4TB bandwidth
- Good NA coastal peering/routing, if possible id like to match or lower my current ping (https://lg.gsl.tools/?9c0fef2abb514f0e only gives so much info, but better than nothing)
- DDOS protection for Source engine games (NO null-route, must be configurable )
- HAS to be in Chicago, this is non-negotiable
- $80/month, possibly a bit more
Thanks!

@TheRealBudgetVM
Hello,
We could offer a VDS within the price range you mentioned, located in Chicago, as requested.
It includes our in-house DDoS protection with GSL, and we have application-specific filters available for Source Engine games, along with other filtering profiles.
If you're interested, feel free to send me a private message. I'd be happy to put together an offer for you.
We have that configuration but significantly less,
$52/Month,
4C (Ryzen 9950x)
16GB Ram DDR5
120GB NVME (Can double for free!)
10-25GbE Port 2TB Bandwidth.
Chicago
@TNAHosting
In Ghicago I can offer this one
E-2136 (6 cores. 12 threads)
64Gb RAM
2x480 SSD
1 Gbps, 30 TB
135 eur.
Would rather not have to deal with an ever changing conversion rate.
Since your IP is anycast its difficult to test latency, unless you have a test Source server (TF2 preferably) I can hop into.
Out of your mind.

You're able to test your latency here.
If that is at all accurate, which I hope its not, then I get 50ms over what I currently have.
Its measured in RTT,
I'd recommend sending ICMP directly to 216.75.75.1, you're able to see your latency better.
If you're close to Chicago you should be routed there rather than any other PoP.
I was wondering if it was RTT, so that makes more sense. Unfortunately im nowhere near Chicago so im getting rerouted to another closer pop.
@infraly_will is in Chicago and has GSL as an upstream. See if they can provide what you need.

Thanks for the shout! We can definitely help you out with this over at Infraly through one of our subrands: Hosturly or Physgun. We have our own in-house mitigation system, with GSL serving as a volumetric carrier, so you get the quality network they offer with additional filtering on top of it to easily stop any attacks all configurable in our firewall/filter portal.
Feel free to come to our live chat on either site or send me a DM here.
