So we made a decision: accounts in the new Manager must pass a simple liveness check. It's basically a selfie handled by Didit, nothing more. No documents, no forms to fill in, and you are ready in ten seconds.

Can we upload our selfie to 1000 Manager accounts to help 1000 of your customers pass their simple liveness checks, and then you deposit €3000 to our account and €2 each to their accounts?
We feel €3 per selfie + push-up is a reasonable price.

This was proven to be due to Meta's dark money lobbying efforts. It's disgusting. Thankfully, although there's a big push for this, there's also a huge backlash and major resistance.

That's good to hear. Sadly there's not exactly much going on in Europe. Decisions are done, software prototype supposedly finished (it's really a rough beta whose developers will push the burden of solving unsolvable design problems and the blame for lack of compatibility onto the implementers) and going to roll out by the end of the year while according to a recent poll 50+% of people have never even heard of the whole thing.

The ID part (which is designed to basically cover people's whole existence) is due for start of next year. If they manage to get some kind notable adoption with the trojan horse stage 1 age check ("It protects the children!!"...) it's going to look pretty bleak. In any case chances of this getting reverted are sadly practically zero.

Edit: Best part is how this garbage is "open source" but you can't do fuck all with it...

Well, that's kinda the case with any kind advanced system. Once you get beyond maybe a small group you are bound to have idiots spoil things due to being incapable of getting over their bad habits and democracy is still one of the simpler/most lackluster ones. It's hard when you are dealing with people that usually from their first day onward have been trained to be subordinates whose idea of morality consists of the question if something is tied to punishment.

I don't know what C4 you are talking about but it isn't like there are patents preventing local bakeries from baking baguettes?

Sometime you should try it. They usually got in-store bakery. But don't expect quality, it's similar to those ikea's cheap bread and pastries which makes you regret not getting another ice cream cone or hot dog

Yummy. Warmy toasty baguette slices with garlic spread e.g Arla's and parmesan
