I was cheated out of 24 US dollars when purchasing the server.

Yes. He probably sells it as 10gbps unmetered server lol

He never contacted us before or after purchasing the service through another person. As far as we knew, the VPS had been requested by La Na. If he had contacted us immediately or even later, we could have taken appropriate action. He had access to our website and our contact information but never reached out.

We are not affiliated with him. He is an affiliate who promotes our websites and drives sales, as he has done before.

Also, have you checked all of the attached screenshots? The issue was related to a Leaseweb invoice that included an overcharge, which is why we suspended his services.

Another point: I'm not speaking to you directly; I'm speaking with the customer. Please let him respond. Ask him why he never contacted us before purchasing the service. He had multiple opportunities to reach out to us but chose not to. That said, we're not here to accuse anyone.

If the customer would like, we're happy to offer a free month of a regular VPS with the same specifications as a goodwill gesture.

To be clear, $24 USD is not worth scamming anyone over. We have invested more than $2,000 USD in developing our custom client portal alone. Do you really think we would risk our reputation over such a small amount?

What about Virtko, Hostris, MetWeb and FijiHost?

Not related to any of those as well?

Please understand that I'm not here to argue with you. I'm only here to clarify the situation and explain what happened. I'm not particularly interested in participating in this discussion beyond addressing the customer's concerns.

The customer has raised an issue, and I'm providing the necessary clarification. I don't have time to engage in unnecessary arguments. It would be better if you allowed me to speak directly with the customer, as I'm currently waiting for his response.

How is the person a customer of yours when you state this mysterious la na is your customer?

    Then also

Instead, we were contacted by a third party named La Na (reference: https://prnt.sc/TfO5TS_y4gTu), whom we had no prior relationship with.

    But later

We are not affiliated with him. He is an affiliate who promotes our websites and drives sales, as he has done before.

Also, what strikes me as a bit dodgy, the lack of concern that someone misused your service to seamingly swindle someone.

Bit full of shit, are we?

As I already mentioned, La Na has been with us for the past four months and manages 2–3 accounts with WebSilica.

Since WebSilica is a new company, we previously ran Facebook ads promoting our shared hosting services. The IP associated with his domain is a Leaseweb IP that was originally used for our US shared hosting. Later, we migrated all shared hosting accounts to a dedicated server, which is now the main server for WebSilica.

I'm here to clarify the situation regarding the customer, not to answer unrelated questions. This post is about the customer, not your personal issues. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a DM, and I'll be happy to discuss them there.

La Na still has affiliate funds available in his account. With those funds, we can provide the customer with a fresh VPS for one month. Alternatively, if the customer prefers, we can transfer La Na's available affiliate funds to them as a refund.

We have already suspended all of La Na's accounts.

We don't want any conflict or unnecessary arguments. We respectfully request that the customer contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve this matter directly.

We will not be providing any further updates in this thread. Thanks

We would like to provide clarification regarding this situation, as there appears to be a misunderstanding regarding the account ownership and service purchase process.

The customer information we have on file is:

    First Name: 高
    Last Name: 高
    Previous Name: Gao Gao
    Email Address: [email protected]

The VPS service was not directly purchased by this customer through our website. Instead, we were contacted by a third party named La Na (reference: https://prnt.sc/TfO5TS_y4gTu), whom we had no prior relationship with.

La Na contacted us and requested pricing for a Leaseweb VPS service, asking about our affiliate commission offer. We informed him that we could provide a 20% affiliate commission. He agreed to this arrangement and manually paid for a VPS L2 plan ($7.99/month) using cryptocurrency during our promotional campaign.

La Na specifically requested that we manually create the VPS order under the account [email protected], as he wanted each service to be managed under separate accounts. Based on this instruction, we created the order manually under that account (reference: https://prnt.sc/ATvq0m9557z0).

At that time, our understanding was that La Na was the actual customer/owner of the service, and the email account was only provided as the destination account for the service setup.

Before activating the service, we clearly informed La Na about Leaseweb's bandwidth policy. We explained that the VPS included 30TB bandwidth, and any usage beyond this limit would result in additional charges from Leaseweb. We also informed him that if he wanted to cancel the VPS, he needed to notify us before the 1st of the month to avoid the next billing cycle. La Na confirmed that he intended to use the VPS continuously.

However, after a few days, the VPS exceeded the included 30TB bandwidth limit. As a result, Leaseweb generated an additional bandwidth usage charge of SGD $118 (Leaseweb Invoice: 91962045, reference: https://prnt.sc/6SPcg_WiPgQp).

We contacted La Na and requested payment for the additional bandwidth charges, explaining that we would need to suspend the service if the invoice was not settled. Instead of making the payment, La Na requested that the VPS be suspended. Following his request, we suspended the service.

Additionally, La Na had requested another VPS L1 plan with annual billing (previously priced at $60). This request was later cancelled after the above incident occurred.

We would like to clarify that we have not committed any fraud or misrepresented any information. The service was created based on the instructions and payment received from the person who contacted us. We have maintained records of the communication, payment details, and service requests.

If any details wrong here you can mention those.

Edit: nvm, user not related to scammer but still no host rep. OP overuse bandwidth, deserved suspend

He never contacted us before or after purchasing the service through another person. As far as we knew, the VPS had been requested by La Na. If he had contacted us immediately or even later, we could have taken appropriate action. He had access to our website and our contact information but never reached out.

Actually, I didn't know I needed to contact you guys, and I don't have your contact information either because I don't have the payment method on your website. I paid that middleman USDT via TRC20 to buy a VPS for the website, but then he scammed me out of 24 dollars, which is why I'm posting this now. I was at school the past few days and didn't check the messages. As for the traffic exceeding 30TB, I didn't really pay much attention to how much data was being used. He told me that once it reached 30TB, the service would automatically stop and wouldn't go over that limit, but in reality, it didn't pause at all, which led to
