Namecheap did not auto-renew domain (check your domains)

Noticed that domain went down and NS changed to parking (.eu domain). Opened instantly NameCheap panel and found out that the domain is about to expiry tomorrow. Alright, let's try to renew it automatically, nope won't work, domain has to be renewed 5 days before expiration (fucking great logic).
Had to chat with support and wait over an hour so they could fix it (they also wanted to charge a redemption fee, but then took it away once released it was their fuck up). So to sum up:
- Auto-renewal was enabled for this domain.
- There was enough credit on account.
- There was active debit/credit card on account.
- Zero emails from NameCheap (spam checked).
You guys better check out your domains and that Namecheap did not do the same shit to you.
This is first fuck up from NameCheap since they got bough, so I am thinking about to migrate all my domains to EU based domain registrar. Seems like Gandi is the best option, but I am also available to other alternatives in EU if someone can vouch. Note that register must have quite a lot of zones (not just popular one's).

chargeback tomorrow
They're not EU-based, but I've never had an issue with Porkbun. Also not EU based, but Infomaniak are decent and they're based in Switzerland.
I've been using Netim since 2013 for most of my ccTLDs and haven't had any issues with them, so they may be worth considering.

Another option would be INWX.
NC gone to shit lately. Silly enough, spaceship is ok. Netim is a bit pricey on some rarer tlds.
It's time to move to porkbun
After back and forth they did fully agree that it was their mistake. This is actually major fuck up, because I did not even receive any emails from them either. Not one problem, but two. How fucking hard can it be to auto renew domain for a company that has been in business since 2001, lmao.
Shit happens... its unfortunate but sad reality it can happen w any registrar
No joke, try Joker: https://joker.com/domain/find/eu
or openprovider.
Yes, how can I forget.
+1 for Openprovider.
What difference does the jurisdiction make?
