my cost was doubled and it doesn't let me renew so either way when this is done I guess I am out .. just letting it expire!

Until I see a major change I'll stay based on the assumption "call a provider an asshole (without evidence and solid grounds) ... and he might behave like one". Which also means that my view is that many here still could have their VPSs (at a decent price albeit maybe higher than Lewis' unsustainable one on renewal) if they had listened better and more and had tried to see Eric's perspective too.

Mine is somehow working, but broken at the same time. Shows 0 cores, 0 GB RAM, 0 GB storage, won't let me log into the control dashboard, but the VPS is up and I'm SSHed into it right now.

Honestly if it continues functioning past the expiration date, I'll notify him and ask him to terminate it. As I see it, he's honoring the contract (even if unintentionally), so I don't intend to take advantage of the situation.
I paid for three years so I won't use more than three years.

Velox has been charging me $2 per month since January. My last invoice was $20. I submitted a ticket requesting a refund of the $18 difference. I assume the ticket will be ignored or denied in some way, at which time I'll process a chargeback.
I have had similar problem, I suppose, looks like while VPSs migrate, new one run, while old one is not shutted down. Routing sent me to one of them. I have tailscale service, turned off my ssh instance and then connect via tailscale and turned off second one, after that turn on the first one via control panel and now all is fine again.
Why is this thread still going after 6 months? Guys and gals, you might want to move on! Simply ask for some refugee offers, especially with 4th of July around the corner. But please leave VeloxMedia and move away from scammers. Protect your sanity.
