Not that one...
You won in twitch?
Oh yes my secret showering friend, twitch marble thingy and the wheel of destiny.
Still $99/y.
Then, the list won't help much. I only can offer
Yes, but not upgradeable
You do not need upgradable, does not matter what to idle, you can still feel cool.
Ohhh, so it's billed in month, but monthly is zero? until it hit next year this month and then pay the yearly bill?
Should have said
Did you win on twitch or on the LET website? No twitch winners are in that list.
On twitch yeah...ah ok, then all good.
It was not directed at his situation. There's no excuse for that.
Just about overall complaints. If people had done a little research about DN they would've known this was a very likely situation to happen.
This was out of line and I owe you an apology @default. I'm sorry. I'm going to take a break from LET for awhile.
I think that might be related to their previous comment where they were bumping folk's start time July 1st (I recall some comment in this thread about it). I haven't had any bill yet for my dedi unicorn since I first picked it up.
This will be my last post about my situation until there is some sort of final outcome. As I stated before, I processed chargebacks on 4 out of my 5 DartNode servers yesterday before they restored access to my account. My bank has already judged three of them in my favor. The fourth is for a larger amount, so it hasn't been resolved yet. I assume that my bank just took the hit for the 3 smaller amounts. I would have preferred to settle this by requesting a refund, but of course I was locked out of my account. I really don't know how to proceed. I certainly don't want to use something I effectively haven't paid for, but at the same time, it's not fair for my bank to eat those charges and DartNode to keep the cash without providing the service. I guess I'll wait for the resolution of the 4th chargeback to determine how to proceed.
Oof. -$100
You should not think about it, not your concern.
You rushed with the chargeback, so now just wait.
Hey guys,
Just wanted to chime in and say I'm facing the exact same issue as mentioned above. @keoir @DartNode
I recently grabbed a brand new server/IP from them. Right out of the gate, my outbound SMTP (Port 25) was automatically disabled because the newly assigned IP was already listed on Spamhaus (zen.spamhaus.org). It's a classic case of inheriting a dirty IP from the previous tenant—annoying, but unfortunately quite common.
But here is the real kicker, and it aligns with what others are experiencing: I received two automated block emails. The second notification claimed my account was also responsible for another completely random IP that I don't even own. It's nowhere to be found in my dashboard. It feels like their automated system is malfunctioning and grouping unrelated users/IPs into the same subnet ban.
I completely understand providers needing to fight spam, but we shouldn't be penalized for the previous history of a recycled IP, let alone a completely random IP that doesn't belong to us.
I've already opened a ticket to get this sorted. Hopefully, a representative here can look into this system-wide false positive.
Yep, I have been chasing them about it via the ticket for a while. Latest update was they have escalated it to whoever and there is no need to chase them. The issue is only they can report it back to Spamhaus. I guess the solution will be to request a different subnet, I just left it as is coz I do not need to send any emails and VPS is working fine.
But for me, it's not just a legacy Spamhaus listing.
Right after the first notification for my new server IP, I got a second block email for a completely random IP that doesn't belong to me at all. Because of that second phantom IP, their system slapped a total SMTP ban on my entire account.
It’s completely bugged. Hopefully, they fix this system-wide issue soon.
Oh, so you're saying the actual beginning date will be July 1st, 2026? I'm starting to get a bit confused. Could you guys clarify this? @keoir @DartNode
I think DartNode should enable IP Market so that we can purchase our own IP addresses directly through the platform. It would make the process much more convenient and accessible for customers.
@DartNode should have withhold those dirty IPs from the pool. So, the next customer who received doesn't have their account disabled. It's fail-fatal.
Bro, you've been impaitent and confused well before this message, at least that's what your comments in this thread scream to me (especially the one where you mentioned you couldn't ssh in but never mentioned the ipmi interface).
I could swear there was a post saying there would be extensions, do think it was the dartnode account that mentioned it but maybe I'm confusing it with all of the crying posts ¯(ツ)/¯
Yes that was said, I think it was keoir
I’ve been quite unlucky.
Now I can’t access my dedi because of a dashboard bug.
Hopefully they manage to fix it soon. Still happy that I got that deal
I would reach out to your bank, we're always happy to process refunds, as stated in the tickets. If a chargeback is filed, the system will lock your account, depending on the reason code. If it were for not authorized etc, then the account is flagged as fraud and closed down by our trust system.
You sure would as it's better for the reputation of your merchant account.
Which isn't really all that useful to a client after you ban his account. Look, i have no horse in this this race and if it wasn't for the constant gas lighting i probably would hardly bother to post in this thread at all. I don't expect any public statement admitting some kind of responsibility but is it really that hard to just take the fuckup with some kind of dignity?
Even outside of the basic account problem your ticket system is a test of endurance...
I have a vague feeling that even with the current charm offensive @deafcon isn't all that interested in staying your client, so his amount of care might be limited.
I'd guess @deafcon disputed the charge on whatever category non-delivery falls under with his bank and i don't see anything fraudulent about that. Just because you happen to change your mind once there's some kind of bad publicity doesn't retrospectively change things.
If you want to gain some public ground just make sure your system doesn't cause the guy any more grief and move on.
This whole thread needs a time out.
@ShalaWorks @AceSheep Did you guys pay for a network upgrade, how are you getting multi-gig speeds download speeds?
Indeed, my account is now locked again. I guess I'll hit you with a chargeback on the 5th service and we'll be done. Multiple times now you have decided to not provide a service that I have paid for. You could have avoided the chargebacks if you had promptly restored service. There is no fraud on my part.
EDIT: It seems that they pre-empted the final chrageback by refunding the last service. We'll meet again in your next offer thread so I can warn users what they should expect if they do business with you.
