This isn't funny anymore. For almost a week now, all I've been doing is logging into the control panel and rebooting the server. If you're unable to keep the server running properly and haven't been able to resolve the issue for almost a week, just issue a refund and let's say goodbye.

We've been here for over a year, and these problems certainly won't discourage us or cause us to lose customers, since most recognize the value of our services and their value for the price.

the reboot problem is the same as the other guy I replied to

DeluxHost clearly prefers to avoid the topic of compensation for service interruptions. Not to mention the blocked Discord ;) We're not obligated to constantly restart servers, and we certainly shouldn't worry about DDoS attacks. You should have implemented appropriate mechanisms from the start, instead of playing the victim now. Are you a professional ?

What compensation do you want if we haven't solved the problem 100% yet, but say 90%?

and Discord is blocked, what are you talking about?

Do you think it's easy to fix? I don't understand, No one is playing the victim, we are simply reporting a fact that has unfortunately happened to other colleagues in the past too and we know that it can happen in the sector.

@DeluxHost said: having something powerful in your hands for just a few euros isn't difficult these days.

Sooner or later, he'll run out of methods. most of them are already patched. If new ones arrive, we'll fix those too. It certainly won't end the way he wants.

but we have all the proof that we are not making anything up and that it is all true.

The "few euros" narrative ignores the economics of cybercrime. Cheap stressers only generate low-volume noise. If an actor actually commands a botnet capable of saturating a datacenter, they aren't doing it for fun; they monetize it via extortion or DDoS-for-hire.
Claiming you will just "patch" the attack exposes a misunderstanding of networking. You can patch L7 exploits. You cannot "patch" a volumetric L3/L4 saturation attack. When the physical uplink is full, no server update helps. True mitigation requires upstream scrubbing, which costs far more than a budget hosting plan.
Finally, "having proof" means providing upstream netflow graphs or transit logs. Words are cheap. Blaming a phantom attacker is just a convenient excuse for oversold hardware and zero mitigation.

@BackboneDirect Our upstream has already responded to this several times, there's no point in continuing with this rhetoric and hypothesis to be honest.

He literally posted the evidence in the chat here and the response from GSL, our other upstream? What more should you know? What would be the point of lying?

@DeluxHost So regarding the restart issue causing ‘no bootable device’ — requiring someone to manually press ‘Restart’ in the control panel — is that also being called a DDoS attack, or is it simply incompetence?

It's due to the old storage system, about which we already sent an email some time ago and for which maintenance is also scheduled. DDoS issues are causing problems in that regard.

Nothing more, nothing less, it's entirely our responsibility. Unfortunately, this affects a small portion of our customers.

However, we can perform an emergency migration, as we're already doing with others, to prevent this problem from happening again. Just open a ticket.

I already opened more than enough tickets. My migration has been ongoing forever, and the server remains dead. Emergency migration sounds good in theory, but so far all I’ve seen is talk — no evidence of actual progress, just more dust in the eyes

Just awful. Restarted the server as stated in the control panel but it's still just soooo bad.
    Nonstop issues with this provider..
Maybe next year you'll actually have a service that works.

The problem is that there is not 90% downtime, many of those who have prolonged problems are because they are on old storage systems, for the rest there are some drops, but nothing comparable to last week.

My VPS affected are the F-SERIES from my observations too. The F-SERIES just keep going through Public IP changing to private IP, Very slow Booting, very Slow internet speed and very constant disconnection. How long are we gonna face this error? The F-SERIES are the major VPS I use in my projects not the W-SERIES. If my lowest ram VPS W-series are the ones going through these instabilities, I will not even bother to keep checking this thread keep hoping for good news at all. It is quite unfortunate that my major useful VPS Series are the ones affected for days till now.
