You would be surprised. A flowspec rule we deployed is currently dropping ~60Mpps constantly; the bytes/sec is currently on the low side. Peaks we saw are well >200Mpps and also much higher Gbit/s/Tbit/s level.
example of logs incoming (carpet bomb) of current syn-ack flood;
The attacks before were much larger too. GSL is also not intercepting it properly for us, their ticket response at some point;
The reason is that ICMP packets are being dropped, which is used by MTR, after our router which has flowspec rules applied.
You can verify resolving, for example to 9.9.9.9 works, by:
dig google.com @9.9.9.9omfg... seriously?
Hope everything will revert back to normal soon.
Noticed many ports are blocked as well...
Still copletely dead for 3+ days
Overselling went overboard, greed took over. A predictable end for a greedy hosting provider.
its not shut up
Deluxhost VPS is the cheapest here and mostly supports my VPN better. It accepts almost all my SLOWDNS IP address and allow the slowdns IP to give connection flawlessly unlike some other VPS I bought here that always block slowdns IP address everytime like crazy. It is quite unfortunate that something bad just happened to this deluxhost suddenly and overturned down everything now😡😡. I think the ports closing issues had been happening for some weeks now that the team didn't take into cognizant. Even I complained to them weeks ago about port 80 not working on all my W-Series, where as the port is working fine with D-series and F-series. Now everything has turned down the hills. But I still wish Deluxhost best of luck in the fixing. If possible transfer some of us to new set up that will escape all these new errors here and there that wasn't experienced before the last sell of F and W series I think it was after this promotion here the problem escalated. Even if it will be transfering to new IP address someone like me don't really care all I need is for my SLOWDNS to connect and give fast speed like it used to be, before these new SERVER ON-OFF-SPEEDDROP, ON-OFF-SPEEDDROP, ON-OFF-SPEEDDROP errors that is going.

Update on my earlier post.
After I pushed, support did acknowledge in writing that this is a host-side hardware fault and that they "should have migrated [me] already" — the problem has been going since February. I asked them to migrate my VM to a healthy node with the IP retained, and for a real date.
Their response: they moved the ticket to On Hold — no migration, no date. They cited a network DDoS as the reason operations are delayed, but the freezes predate that by months, and an internal VM migration within their own infrastructure shouldn't be blocked by a network-level attack.
So: acknowledged faulty hardware, admitted they should have acted months ago, server still unusable — and the ticket is now parked On Hold. Posting so anyone evaluating them right now sees how an actual incident gets handled.
People in Deluxhost there is only one solution. Change your business plan. Offering so many cheap servers that don't work properly will fail at the very end. Until now you have people trying your services but at the end all people in LET will have tried them and be disappointed, and no one will be buying them any more and you will fail. Stop offering 6€ per year and have less customers that are paying more. Over time you will have money to upgrade your network and dc that you downgraded a while ago. Continuing the current strategy will leave your servers half empty in a couple of years. You already have a bad reputation over here. There is still time.
outgoing connections are failing. I can reach google but not many others
Their reputation will be difficult in doing so. They are now known as the provider with low prices and the associated problems. They also present themselves as such, as a provider where you cannot have a production-ready environment. A production-ready environment as in a live, user-facing setup optimized for stability, security, and scalability.
Outgoing is an issue it's making server useless and it's port based issue, it seems the firewall rules are messed up
@DeluxHost please I want install V2RAY SCRIPT I normally use as my VPS administrator manager. Unfortunately, since yesterday I keep getting error that the IP address of my VPS is private instead of being public IP address. Can you please look into this? The VPS is my F-SERIES 141.11.X.X
Can you please send me a dm for check all your problems sir?
Do you have any ticket ID that i can check? Because i want check this problem of course
Thank you anyway for the advice, I don't take it badly and we listen to everyone, but I want to clarify a few things.
our servers are having problems these days, large outages or disconnections like this are extremely rare when they are general, they are not a constant, which obviously would be a very different matter.
We are aware of many other problems that need to be solved and things where we have to work hard, it's not easy, but we are sure we can do it.
Our income does not depend on LET or the various forums, but on other sectors, which helps us enormously.
after this incident our network has much higher defenses and therefore it has been a lesson to us, with obviously other upgrades already planned that will be announced.
As a customer who has been using your VPS services for over a year, I appreciate your plans for future upgrades. However, from my user experience, these stability and connectivity issues were unfortunately not rare, but rather a recurring problem. Constant disconnections followed by temporary server reboots are simply not sustainable for my operations.
While I understand that managing server infrastructure is challenging, reliability and uptime are the core priorities I pay for. Because of the ongoing instability, I have decided to migrate all my services to a more stable, albeit more expensive, provider.
I genuinely hope you manage to resolve these technical struggles, as your team seems to mean well. However, at this stage, I need a service I can fully rely on without continuous workarounds.
I wish you all the best with your future upgrades.
Just a friendly reminder.
The symptoms you describe are consistent with storage issues, which unfortunately have affected some of our customers. We're already carrying out a mass migration, but it will obviously be delayed in the coming days of course.
Unfortunately, I'll be honest and tell you that if your goal is to host important services or platforms on such inexpensive servers, I don't recommend it. It's better to spend a little more, obviously, and get higher-performance plans.
In any case, I wish you good luck in your future, and I hope to see you again someday.
Do you plan to also offer some expensive and higher performance services?
I have a 7€ and a 12€ per year servers with other providers that work extremely well, without any downtime (even for a few minutes minutes) in months and without any I/O problems with their drives. I won't mention any names out of respect.
It's not about the price. It's about the aim you have as a company. The difference it's the other providers sold 50 vps's per server and you sold 200. That's where the I/O problems with the hard drives come from, that's where the network insufficiencies come from etc. etc.
On top of that you get the extra problems with the hardware in the cheap DCs and the Doss attacks that the (cheap) network cannot deal with, and the situation turns chaotic.
I'm not talking out of anger or trying to attack you. As you've advised I only have a couple of vps's with you for fun.But the price is not an excuse for the problems you are dealing with. You just expanded too fast, without the proper infrastructure.
It's a genuinely friendly advice for making steps forward and not backwards as I respect the way you are dealing with the situation , and I only hope the best for you.
There is performance, stability and connectivity. From what I see at this moment, you lack in every of those 3. Even though you raised prices for ongoing improvements.
Personally I don't expect top-of-the-bill performance from a cheap VPS. What I do expect is some form of stability and connectivity. I have this VPS now for well over a year, and I've had a few moments that I thought of getting it into "production" (for me that's a fault tolerant and load balanced cluster of servers that I use). Every time I tried that, "something" happened. My normal procedure is then to wait until things are proven stable again, and start re-using the VPS.
In the period of time I have this VPS, it has not really been in the cluster. That says a lot. As stated by @zephyr32: I have "cheap VPSes" - for the same purpose - that I'm happy about and that do what I expect them to do. Ofcourse there can be an issue sometimes (but I also have ones that never had one), but the fault tolerant cluster resolves this. Your VPS has almost pulled down the cluster in a few occasions (not only this week) - that is very rare to happen.
@DeluxHost where is that promised unblocking of the Discord forum? Are you planning any compensation for the recent outages, or is that in line with your SLA?
In most cases that SLA compensation would end up being a handful of cents, if anyone figures that it would be worth to fight for that, they should create a ticket. That’s at least according to their SLA on their website.
Not worth it in my opinion, just accept that it’s just like how they communicated it before, it’s for dev/test environments, not for prod.
With all due respect, I would prefer @DeluxHost to comment on this topic
What @NotFoundException is saying is definitely close to a possible resolution. Most likely something like this
"The affected period will be considered for compensation once the incident report is completed. Any applicable credit will be automatically added to the customer's account."
If you do the math its really cents. Don't expect too much compensation. It's really logical.
@kubas1986
In this price range, I expect the VPS to stay online (except for the occasional downtime), and the CPU and storage to be very slow, but usable. I am not extending this idler.
Compensation doesn't necessarily have to be monetary. There are other ways. That's why I asked the question for the Owner
I think the SLA is pretty clear, they'll add it to your credit balance nothing more or less... unless you'd like to have the service a few more minutes/hours. As something like that cost quite some time and effort i'd be surprised if they are willing to credit in any other way or form.
€ 6.00 € 0.50 20% = € 0.10
€ 9.00 € 0.75 20% = € 0.15
€ 12.00 € 1.00 20% = € 0.20
€ 14.00 € 1.17 20% = € 0.23
€ 18.00 € 1.50 20% = € 0.30
^ Just a small piece of insight what amount we're talking about based on the current 4 days as example.
If you'd really would like to have a reply from the owner, it might be best to reach out by ticket. But don't expect any exceptions as everything about SLA / compensations, are not for nothing.
Do you think it's better not to ask for anything at all ? Has the break affected you ?
