Win a Real Doll!

  • @TimboJones said: Well, if there's going to be an exit scam, donations to Ukraine should be the new norm. How do you go to a charity and say, "I want my donation back, I was buying a doll. Yes, I am a grown man".

Diverting money to a charity instead is an interesting type of exit scam.
I didn't read the whole thread, thought it was some kind of "double bandwidth" lottery.

No, it has to be real... it specifically says so in the title!

A donation still represents a form of charity, with or without some doll attached for it. If the doll is not sent, I still won't regret my donation to Direct Relief.

That's true, but if I wasn't doing it for the doll incentive, I'd have donated to a local charity instead - supporting local causes and they'd also be getting 20% extra by reclaiming the income tax I'd paid on it.

(Although in this case, instead of a donation, I treated it as a purchase in my previously non-existent fumo-doll expenditure category).

All of the EU ones were bulk shipped to be re-distributed once inside EU. They look to have finally cleared customs today and are going to be relabeled for last mile inside EU.

Non-EU (Some AU, APAC, and US domestic) got sent from Dallas, TX today 6/9.

Exit scam wasn't panning out the way I wanted, so @Neoon wins. He gets his doll.

and of course: will end any entries here since I forgot to post the end earlier.

Is this some form of fumo conspiracy where Synteq intends to open a datacenter in Poland?

Big decisions lying ahead... What other toys to throw out to make room?

I have a 1.8m teddy... Would save some room.

Nope. You can't throw the teddy. Your daughter will punish you. Simply take the fumo and give it to her โ€” she'll find a place.

I have 3 children, I don't need to worry about where to put toys โ€” my problem is they can't get enough of them, always wanting more and more toys and dolls. We donate huge sacks of toys every year to charity after they get tired of the older toys (usually we do this close to Christmas). They have so many toys like I could not even dream when I was a child; even so I know I won't be able to keep this fumo doll just for myself โ€” they're children and they must have their toys and dolls.

My conclusion: if you think you'll be able to keep this fumo for yourself... good luck with that!

Lol, I gave up ages ago. I mean... I have a dedicated room, stuffed with dolls, toys and whatnot. It's kinda scary cleaning the place tbh.

But you right... I might keep this one just for me though. Kid too spoiled anyway, compared to when I was a kid.
