Well SPF wouldn't bust autodiscover, it'd just make outbound email not work.

Autodiscover should usually be enough. Is there an SSL applied if you go to https://autodiscover.yourdomain ?

    Francisco

Yes, https://autodiscover.mydomain.com is on an SSL connection (verified by Let's Encrypt).

Also worth mentioning I have the exact same account configured on Apple Mail on macOS using the exact same Exchange configuration, and it works.

I'm also using the official guide from Apple when configuring the account

I would make sure that the iPad is using EWS, it might be doing EAS.

Usually when EAS is being buggy on our end its because the user disabled DAV on the account. If you PM me the email I can log dive, but i'd check that first.

I'm not sure how to check what the iPad is doing, I assume it's only doing one of them (possibly EAS based on the Apple article I linked above) but I used MAPI / EWS terminology here as that's how the password is named in SmarterMail 2FA User Settings. And I DO have DAV disabled on the domain, but EAS right underneath is Disabled and greyed out (Enterprise Only) Not Licensed - is EAS actually NOT licensed?

I'd rather put the ticket number here (24190) instead of PM of the domain / email address.

    Thanks for looking into it

Edit: AI is telling me iOS / iPadOS use EAS while MacOS uses EWS, so it makes sense that if EAS is not licensed it won't work. Although AI also says Microsoft is in the process of replacing EWS with a new API (Graph) so it's a moot point. May have to go back to good old IMAP soon...

Don't worry about Graph and all that. We do have EAS via Z-Push, while it isn't the 'integrated into smartermail' option, it works all the same.

I would triple check DAV. Failing that, PM me the user and i'll check logs.

OK, so I'm still unable to make it work even after enabling WebDAV. I documented what I'm doing in detailed steps in Ticket 24190, if I could ask you to please take a look and continue the conversation there, it would be great.

    Thank you,
