Warning: VeloxMedia Suspended My Service and Keeps Demanding Government ID

I want to warn others about a very suspicious experience I recently had with Veloxmedia provider.

My service was supposed to remain active until Friday, October 9th, 2026, but they suddenly terminated it and started accusing me of “abuse” without providing any actual proof or evidence.

They repeatedly claimed:

  • that they had “proven abuse”
  • that they had reported me to agencies and other providers
  • and that I “must provide identification”

However, every time I asked for:

  • logs,
  • abuse reports,
  • timestamps,
  • IP details,
  • or any evidence at all,

they completely ignored the request and only kept repeating:

“you must provide identification”

They are demanding a government ID scan while refusing to explain what exact abuse supposedly occurred.

The entire situation feels extremely suspicious and unprofessional. A legitimate abuse department should be able to provide at least basic evidence or explain what policy was violated instead of endlessly demanding personal identification documents.

At this point I’m concerned this may be either:

  • an abusive provider,
  • a phishing attempt to collect identity documents,
  • or a false accusation being used as justification to terminate services early.

I strongly recommend others:

  • do NOT immediately send passport or ID scans,
  • verify whether requests are legitimate,
  • and keep records of all communications.

If anyone else has experienced similar behaviour from providers demanding ID without evidence, I’d be interested to hear your experiences.

    You've joined in November 2025, you've visited 46 times.

Either you have not really looked into the hot topics since then, or you're trolling.

Or you're just not very clever. Could also be, regarding your other topic stating "I’m looking for a VPS provider that allows port scanning / Nmap usage." and with "50TB or more traffic"

Guess what lots of providers consider abuse...

    NO.

If there is still window for chargeback, that one is your option, as they are well known for this kind of things.. and a lot more.

They keep insisting that I send my ID, but they refuse to explain what abuse they are referring to. Since when is blogging considered abuse? Since when is using Amazon affiliate links considered abuse?

    Thanks for the tag!

    @Straing3r
Don't accommodate them. They're lying, scamming, deceiving SOBS. And that's being nice.

Take your backup and run, and don't forget to chargeback! To get a better idea of who you're dealing with: https://discord.boloxmedia.co.uk

Sounds like the provider is fucked up in the head. Thanks for reporting.

Just randomly asking ID without providing proper explanation is suspicious ngl. It's funny that they have evidence of "Proven abuse" so strong that they reported it to cops but won't share a single line from logs or anything else with user. It's like cops randomly picking anyone from streets and forcing allegations on them lol.

I really don't have any problem with KYC thing, but if it's necessary it should be done right when signing up. If asked later, then there must be a proper explanation.

he's referencing one of the outlandish nonsense claims the "new owner" of veloxmedia made in that ~200 page thread. lots of people responding are cracking jokes if you can't tell. i'm surprised you didn't ditch while that was going on, i would've.

which sane people uses veloxmedia hosting/servers seriously?
veloxmedia is a joke and totally irrelevant to web hosting.
they randomly shut down vps of their customers. do read all negative reviews about them.
better host with some reliable provider. hope you had backups.

Also, what veloxmedia said - are they going to re-instate your vps service IF you provide government id? If the answer is yes, then it means veloxmedia allows abuse on its network and just seeks government id from their user to carry further abuse.

If velox media said - they will not re-instate your vps IF you provide government id, then whats the use of sending your personal info for verification ?

    better way, move on.
