Don't mess with Lewric. Last time someone DDoSed him, he got the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security involved to track them down.

Dude, as i said i was hosting blogs and affiliate blogs
Have you checked what @Saragoldfarb shared ?

Like zed said, it was a joke, just like VeloxMedia Hosting is. Best is to accept the loss and move on. Do not give your ID or he might run the next scam with your name.

Bro, you sound guilty AF. You just want to know how you got caught.

Why'd you take down the screenshots?

Maybe the government agency Lewric reported him to made him do it.

Don't give Eric from legal your iD unless you want him to use it to try to dox you and your colleagues.

Where did I defend them? He sounds guilty AF. He doxxed himself in his posts then someone busted him with his post history port scanning.

    Now he deleted the screenshots

Just Eric being Eric , judging by the conversation. Totally being a dick, clueless mofo.

Op, write it off as a learning experience.

    Haha what

We're also sending your info to other hosting providers and government officials

@Straing3r You have nothing to worry about. Do to some recent drama™, there aren't any hosting providers that will listen to what Eric Banks is saying. And nothing was sent to any government agencies.

lol (still a horrid screenshot btw) what a lunatic. this should be a psa really, if you're not careful about vetting who you do business with you might end up with some certifiable nutsack like "eric" holding the keys to your data.

lol no, i'm pretty sure verified just means they checked to see it's an actual business. let is absolutely caveat emptor, though the community is pretty good about keeping track of known shitbags.

Nope, as I said earlier, being "verified" just means you are a business and paid a fee to be allowed to advertise here. This is why they're called "Patron Providers" and not "Trusted Providers".

Didn't Eric demand under threat of legal action that LET create a prominent PSA banner that states that VeloxMedia is a "trusted and preferred provider"?

Generally providers with tags can be trusted here because if they do dumb shit, they lose that tag.

Well... it depends on what you mean by "trusted". Plenty of crappy providers get and keep their provider tags. They may not be scammers, but they might result in countless threads trying to shame them for downtime or being unable to keep up with the onslaught of tickets. Providers on LET shouldn't be trusted because of their tags.

It takes a lot to lose a provider tag. You have to do stuff like steal $22.5k in BTC to lose it.

Sad part is, i’d take it over over moderation anyday, both are nightmare’s, not sure why there isn’t a “Provider X YEAR” addition, would help new people judge based on it, doesnt mean much but fair chance a older provider = somwwhat stable

that might be a neat addition, like a year badge somewhere to make it obvious. not sure i see it happening though, look at the veteran tags they weren't able to follow thru on for reasons.

Port scanning is rarely illegal on its own, but it can be a part of an illegal activity. It's just like how looking around the outside of a closed store at night is not a crime, but if you're doing it to break in later, then you're casing the joint and it is a crime.

Port scanning, if done for research purposes (or even just curiosity), is legal pretty much everywhere. But if it's followed by penetration attempts, the act is criminal.

I agree and I think LET should have a centralized dashboard that allows people to view information about providers such as what their usernames on LET are (sometimes the provider name matches the username, sometimes it does not), how long they've been around, and what kind of services they offer.

OTOH if you're preparing to execute a scam that will earn you significantly more then $200 paying for and then losing a provider tag is just the cost of doing business.

Well, the main reason I brought op the quest for a port scanning allowed VPS of TS is because he wanted that VPS to also have an allowed traffic of 50+ TB. Now these 2 things (traffic and portscanning) don't have to be related, but if you have a legitimate use of 50+TByte of traffic you generally don't want to do portscanning on the same VPS in my opinion.
