Curtis Gervais (wdmg / SilverCreek) threatens LowEndTalk with Lawsuit
For those who don't know the backstory: Curtis (Terabit.io / ByteFilter) sold Path Network's data to Rene Roosen (CosmicGuard / GameServerKings) as part of an $800,000 extortion attempt and got caught because he left the Signal conversations on his personal laptop for investigators to find.
Weeks after public court filings in the US revealed that Curtis had signed a sworn statement admitting to everything and selling out his co-conspirator, Curtis threatened LowEndTalk, LowEndSpirit and Reddit with Cease and Desist letters to censor the story - falsely claiming that his sworn admission was sealed material when it was not.
C&D to LET

Not only was the admission freely accessible via the court website the entire time, Curtis has failed in his legal attempts to block the circulation of his statement and the evidence of his theft. Days after Curtis made the invalid threats against LowEndTalk, a US court ruled that Curtis' already public sworn statement would not be sealed and would remain on public record. Curtis lost his attempts to hide his statement against Rene, and it continues to remain publicly accessible on the Arizona court website despite his extensive efforts at censoring the document.
Arizona courts decision

tldr; Curtis is being a censor-wagon, tried to bury his snitch statement by falsely claiming public court records were private, threatened to sue LowEndTalk to hide it, spent over $30,000 to try to censor the document but ultimately lost in court.

Not exactly prime popcorn time, but I'll take it. Drama's too good to pass up.
Path drama just keeps on going...
Marshal have you considered going to therapy? I think it would really help with your life and behavior, might fix a few things.
If you can't afford it, I'm sure you can just not pay the therapist, or sell a couple more dedis you don't own
Even lawyers sign their name in block letters
?
If this were true, how’d you get that document? @angstrom , isn’t this (private documents) what got some lawsuit threads taken down before?
Hey @Saragoldfarb look, its ANDREW FROM LEGAL
Does the Gervais really think that he has money to fight bilou?
Time for the LowEndLawyers!
What has Marshal to do with the C&D from Curtis?
Pretty normal practice. It is kinda electronic signature.
@jbiloh lemme know if you need a $7 lawyer.
Nice socks.
But how that's proving anything? It's literally PNG and text, not even a PGP.
SWORN REMOTELY by @DataRecovery before honorable LET members at LowEndTalk in the DC of Buffalo, on the 21st day of May, 2026.
Please double my SWORN.
The proof is probably the log of the fax machine. Lawyers...
Curtis is @Wadhah 's boss. It's hilarious that he's trying to defend him for threatening to sue Jon Biloh over a LET post.
In Canada there is the concept of public documents that media cannot publish. It makes sense because bringing media attention to e.g. someone's deeply personal and traumatizing court case is not in the interest of the victim. One good example is of a victim who accused a number of junior hockey players of rape. There was a publication ban on the victim's name even though the court record did have the victim's name on them.
"The people" might have a right to see the documents themselves, but they need to go through the effort of asking the court for access rather than simply reading it on the news.
That thread mentioned in the document seems to have a LET permission problem.

The US court ruled the documents are public. Curtis lost his motions and the judge ruled against him. Anyone can go view them, it's public.
This thread where only created because the other wasnt visible. Mr biloh should ban this permanent actors. It wont change anything but comes to court issues in future.
This is a different question
I was just referring to a practice of putting e-signatures on the document. I think this story was featured on LET a few times already, so I guess a few people are so unhappy with Curtis that they post it again and again.
this is all so fucking cringe
can't we ban everyone that has any relation to the ddos protection industry just point blank
just a bunch of kids in suits thinking they're james bond anyway
So... you don't like suits? Aren't suits elegant enough for you?
DocuSign is very widely accepted. There is more to it than just applying a .png of your signature or "handwriting font" of it on a document. On mobile and too lazy to go into detail.
I've always used it for LOAs, NDAs and such.
scary to see people being so serious on a 7 dollar per year obsolete computing website.
You better stop posting in here or you'll receive a very strongly worded email from Curtis's (likely unpaid and constantly changing) legal team, same as Biloh did.
Yep...also Adobe Sign whatever it is called.
Let better than netflix
I mean, in Ukraine and in Estonia there is digital signatures that are accepted by governments and are used to identify signer. I haven't seen anything close to that guarantees level in DocuSign.
