Anyone Hiring for Basic support, data entry, etc?
Not sure if this is allowed, but why not try?
So I lost my job 2 weeks ago along with last months paycheck. I have spent over $3000 in just 2 months on two of my cats, and $1100 of that was just from this weekend. Next month if he can make it stable that long he has another appointment which would be another $960 for a better ultrasound. But right now we think its gonna end up being a Gallblader removal if he's even stable enough for it, which I was quoted $10K+ While my current pay which is now only $300 ish per month. Have bills, mortgage , car payment etc. I'm gonna be putting myself into debt.
I have a small savings which can cover me for a little, but the vet bills alone will drain it completely.
I've tried applying for a few remote jobs but no bite yet. Due to some health issues, an in person job just doesn't work out.
I do average 100-110 wpm typing, My main skills are video editing/content creation with Davinci Resolve and recording with my Sony FX30 (unrelated here). But Microsoft Windows skills, and a bit of networking. Linux I'm a bit basic but know my way around it. Been using cPanel since 2008, little knowledge of DirectAdmin, and Wordpress. Installing control panels, OS's, VPS's etc are an easy task for me. I have a Gigabit symmetrical fiber connection as well for any large transfers (even though could just use a VPS for that) But theres many other random skills I have just too many to list
So maybe sales, support, or just anything at this point, English is my only language and located in the US. Pretty much available all hours.
I'm a fast learner. Been addicted to computers since my first computer as a child in 1998.
This is Dippy Kitty, took this at ER vet around Midnight over the weekend, can provide receipts if needed for proof of everything going on.

Back story, took him in almost a year ago he was a stray, for almost the same symptoms but he was very sick at the time, we found a medication Ursodiol, which gave him a complete turnaround! until now.
We also have another kitty that had FIP 4 years ago, I spent over $25,000 on him, he's a happy man, but he does have hydrocephalus which we also have to manage with meds.
End note: I wasn't fired, I'm a content creator and YouTube has decided to let AI take over and false flag tens of thousands of channels for "inauthentic content" removing there monetization, along with not paying that months paycheck which for me was $4100. They are telling us all to wait 90 days to re-apply for the "chance" to get monetization back, so bascailly saying I need to work for free for 90 days to that chance. I have been on YouTube since 2008 with over 200 million views and 223,000 subscribers just to be kicked to the curb.
Thank you ![]()

About the YouTube thing, sicne you are located in the US, why you aren't contacting a lawyer and sue them?
Your cat is beautiful and really f*ck the healthcare system for exploiting such grand amounts of money for these cats :-((
Yea, I have sadly seen videos about the demonetization, sorry to hear that :-((
The best way to fight it seems to me to be to create a twitter account and try to create an account there and f*ck youtube.
I hope that you are able to get your channel's monetization back for which you have worked for 18 years at this point. No company should simply be able to pull the plug as such imo and wishing the best for your cats and you personally as well and hoping that you are able to get out of this tough situation soon.
Well, you see, there is a certain problem with your approach. Try to understand. The world is controlled by corpo. You can have your f*ck position, it is fine but it is not going to get you far. I kinda thought similar when I first self-hosted my emails. Like oh, now I am going to be so private, corpos will no read my emails. Guess what happened? Everyone, literally everyone is using.....tadaaaaa - gmail, outlook! So, my emails are going into the hand of the corpos. There are even a few dinosaurs with yahoo email.
Same with youtube, vets etc. you can f*ck them but you will have to use them anyway, so your approach is kinda not working. Probably, the only exception to this if you reject all the technology and going to live in a shed somewhere in the forest then maybe but something tells me it is highly unlikely you will agree to such life.
OP - I would not comments on your cat expenses but have you thought maybe to improve your knowledge-skills? There are tons of materials online, various courses, certificates etc. I know you kinda need it urgently but well things do not always work as fast as we want. At least, I am trying to take similar route. From what I have read, you have a bit of this, a bit of that, which is not really enough for a good job.
@HuntersPad
spending 25K dollars for a cat, are you real, and not some ai generated click bait?! Here we don't even spend more than $12 per year on a LET chicken.
Wait, is this mine cat xD
(I have an exact same one, with attitude)
I can assure you this is 100% authentic cat owner. Going through mid sized 4 digits on vet bills in a couple of months is not exactly complicated and any kind of serious surgery/treatment can easily reach 5 digits on its own. To a real cat owner this won't be an actual question of pay or not pay but rather can or can not.
There's actually medical insurance for pets around here and i can only recommend any potential owner to look into it while things are still fine. Smartass comments are not going to help anyone with a legacy pet though and i can fully sympathize.
Signed: A former owner of another black fluffball. May he rest in peace.
Kind of. Doesn't seem to have seen a lot of fighting or general accidents though. Either it roames a pretty vast area or it's an indoor cat, i guess.
Edit: Anyone capable of helping with @OP's request please do so. The cat deserves it and @OP seems to be a decent person too
How can you mange to pay rent if only living from YT payment's?
Yep. Been trying that for 19 days now. I don't have many followers. (Unless people here wanna help spam repost it) Didn't think to link to it in this post. A person needs a ton of people to retweet and spam it. Otherwise will never get a human review.
In case anyone wants to help repost my posts.

To kick one while their down, what they did .. I've been blocked for support for 30 days with threats of being blocked permanently for being "abusive" and "unproductive".
I've been nothing but nice to them, can provide email screenshots as proof for that.
I'm not gonna say exactly how much I make. But let's just say this 90 day waiting period is a loss of a substantial amount of money.
Also mortgage I don't rent. Was supposed to get the house fully paid off by next year. But that's not gonna happen now unless I get my montization back.
I'm the last person to know anything about the whole social game but if 200k subs manage to generate monthly payouts in the 4k range i don't see what the problem would be. Pair that with some kind of paid off property and you are pretty much living the life. Hell even if 1k gets eaten by rent it's still nothing to scruff at.
No twitter account here, sorry
Yeah 100% own my property. Just paying on the house. But that's thanks to my parents. Land way behind their house was mostly just used for an occasional garden and just weeds. So built on it
I hope you're able to find something. With all of the recent layoffs I imagine the job market is flooded. Once you get back on your feet, try creating a parallel following on your own domain so it can't be taken away. Google is notorious for random and inexplicable bans or account closures.
I'm sorry to hear about Youtube+monetization. It's terrible how often that happens. You help Youtube grow, and they stab you in the back one day. Now I think they're not making money on ads at the same time, but it's a lot easier for them to swallow that. I wish they had been better about dealing with AI-generated content in the first place.
Have you looked into Odysee or similar to host your videos on?
The tech market seems like a tough one these days. Maybe that Porkbun job opening could work, though? In general, I advise people to get into trades and stay out of tech unless you're already very well established with it.
Of course your niche is entertainment, which is definitely a thing. Though maybe AI will also impact it? I guess it already did...
This is the 8th or 9th round of demonetization. By the 2nd and 3rd round, it's clear YouTube doesn't care about indies
Mentally strong people proactively disable monetization in the YouTube channel.
We measure channel success by how many people it inspires, not by the so called paycheck.
The problem with the alternatives is that they hardly have the traffic needed to generate actual revenue. Rumble might be worth a try. I figure it's the next biggest platform after YT but even then it's already quite a long shot.
Well, yes and no in my opinion. I certainly see your point in regards to it being a hobby but given how much people have to put up with jobs that at the end of the day just flat out suck while paying next to nothing i really can't blame anyone for jumping on the opportunity to live off of YT if it arises. It's pretty risky though (as this post demonstrates) and a disaster plan should be a top priority.
Kinda. It is a bit like people were selling flats to buy bitcoin or left their jobs to go full into web3 and now they are try to get back. Nobody is thinking about a disaster plan when corpo is paying you $5k monthly and you are laughing about office jobs.
Just one was this last MRI, the first one was in 2022 roughly the same price.

Then the medications
Oscar 15 mgs/ml ($50 each/ 5 ml vial) x20
Lucky Tablets 1 kg ($6/tablet each )/Lucky Tablets 2 kg ($12/tablet) x453
It was a ton of money. This is not everything. Just some stuff I still had in my emails.
The blackmarket FIP meds, Still have some vials It was "skin care" written on the vials. for two months I paid a vet tech $20 per DAY to come out to give him an injection. It was rough, the stuff stings and its thick. Then finally we were able to switch to the pills
Heres a pic of Dippy and Admiral from the other night

Here was our local vet bill for dippy last week, not including the Sunday $600 bill and the nexts months $960 bill

Just providing some proof, since I mean it is the internet afterall
And our 4th cat
At the end of march... The Little one that thinks shes feral and wont stay inside 24/7

She hate something she wasn't supposed to and had stopped eating so we took her in, they had to do an exploratory surgery but thankfully it was already in her colon and she passed it the next day and got to come home.
And then the rare photo of all 4 of them in one pic lol

man i don't want to make light of your situation but you're not having great luck with cats, maybe you should try a different flavor for the next huggable?
luck in your quest.
what about a ferret
@HuntersPad Perhaps make a gofundme for the vet bills and share it here.
I think sometimes the vets themselves can accept payments on a certain account, you may want to ask them about that.
I'm kinda happy that he doesn't look all roughed up. Otherwise i would be getting even more flashbacks than i already do (it's funny how black cats tend to look so similar down to the white spots, random white hairs, brownish taint in specific lightning and so on). I miss the little pirate (or sadly rather mole later on)...
I figure if everything else fails and you have some kind of audience you might as well try gofundme or something. The internet loves cats after all. I'm quite certain that mr. cat over there would get a couple € out of me despite my usually rather stingy attitude towards random charity.
Anyways, keep us posted!
Also add ways to donate via crypto too within gofundme or similar if given the option.
Never trust billing from medical services in the USA. (also his invoices show he paid it already, with credit card, so he probably has to pay off cards)
I guess that's a good point, I generally didn't lump vets into this category but more and more of them are owned by venture capitalists. My current vet is not in this category and I'd trust them 100% but I couldn't say that for everyone.
Lol, funny how 3(-4) people have the exact same idea almost simultaneously
We only adopted ONE cat... Snow came into our yard back in early 2022 and she walked right in and never left. Then came along little one she is indoor/outdoor she wont stay inside past 9am (which is an upgrade to the 6AM it used to be), The Dippy came by on and off for over a year, until he showed up one night very sick.
