Here is a GoFundMe if it is allowed here: https://gofund.me/39f18260e
The Specialist vets payment is due after services. They are a huge money grab. They are over an hour away and all operate the same way sadly. They push care credit, which I already have and care credit is a huge scam. "interest free for up to 24 months" But if you can't pay the whole balance before 24 months you get charged full interest on the entire balance.
Yeah used a credit card I thought was interest free until next year, but turns out that was balance transfers so had to apply for another card and pay a 3% fee on the current $8,000 I have on it to transfer it. Debt sucks. I've NEVER been in debt in my life other than regular mortgage and car loan.
I'm so sorry to hear that, yes I had that issue with specialty clinics as well, there are only a few vet clinics here that aren't owned by these cash grab organizations and I think most of the urgent care ones are. Thank you for putting up the gofundme!!
I hear you that's happened to me before too this stuff is SO predatory. It's really wrong how these people prey on you when you are vulnerable like this and some vet clinics are super guilty of that
@MikeA I cannot thank you enough!
Sorry for the bad pic, He wouldn't stay still long enough, he knows when a camera is out.
But yeah right now he is stable, His jaundice has finally went away for the most part.
I've used it in the past for my dental. But made sure I paid it right before the promo ended.
Managing pets is quite hard and budget intensive too if we include the healthcare costs but love can have no budgets. my regards to all pet owners who take care of their pets and love them and wishing you all and your pets only goodness.

Still looking though if any providers need some ticket help. Even though I think most just outsource. Still working my butt off outside today making videos and then editing just to make nothing from the videos. It sucks. If I don't at least keep uploading, Youtube will very quickly deny me in 90 days.
They even sent me this randomly. I hadn't even contacted them for 8 days, then they randomly ban me from contacting support for 30 days.

Everytime I've contacted them I've been professional and nice.
I think what flagged it, is YouTube on X contacted ME, even though their info was useless and they went off my initial deny. Cause it just so happens that email came after that.
All responses from them have been all template based/AI
Oh that sucks! I lost my dog recently after some tough times and one of my cats isn't doing too well. Bills really start piling up quickly.
All my cats are strays and I love them to death so I totally get you.
Unfortunately not able to assist in a monetary way but I do wish you best of luck!
So it's better not to open the door for this visitor i think
Or i will be broke soon.

You can still upload to YT, right? I have pretty much zero clue how stuff like that works but if you are still pulling somewhat respectable views you could try to look for sponsors? Depending on your content IT might or might not be a good fit but in the end sponsoring (+ alternative platforms - pretty much everyone runs substack, rumble, locals, whatever on the side these days to have a fallback option when things go south) is something you should be looking into anyways. YT can always take away your adsense but sponsor deals are independent.
Edit: I mean, it might be a bit far fetched but in absolute theory you could probably even just try to advertise some kind of affiliate deals. I mean it's a bit more complicated but it's kind of like a (usually?) commission based sponsor. A small landing page + a bunch of short links you plug in your video/description. If you find some kind of good fit it might even be worthwhile and somewhat useful to your audience.
If the pet isn't critical, chances are, it's cheaper in mexico or cash-only clinics.
So something that I've heard about Google account issues is you can't solve it the normal way, you have to make some noise. For example on Hackernews when people's accounts get banned and stuff they often post it there and suddenly the problem is resolved. I'm not sure if this kind of post would get traction on hacker news but this is something else you can try, consumer advocacy.
Try contacting the people here and explaining your situation:
https://www.elliott.org/company-contacts/google/
Be polite and explain your story with Dippy to give the human side of things. You may not hear back from that person directly but often route you to a human being who can.
I have not tried this with Google in particular but I have tried it with banks, Paypal, etc and I've gotten resolutions to problems that were impossible through the regular customer support avenues.
I actually made pretty decent money with Walmart affiliates. But I lost that with demonitzation. I was selling $10,000+ per month worth of stuff at Walmart. Of course I was only making $100-$150 from that though.
Amazon in 3 months I've made a whole 30 cents 😂
Do they require you to be monetized? Just shop around a bit. There is so many affiliate networks with so, so many products/programs out there. Maybe you find one that has a good margin and really clicks with your audience
i wish you and all your family best of health and easier times ahead.
@rpqu I was gonna say the same thing but this might be the way to save some money within tough times. It's called pet medical tourism.
If the cat isn't in critical danger, then there are two things which can happen:-
There are services which take cats via flights to mexico and then operate with vet on them and then fly them back and it still can cost less than normal vets.
Or perhaps if @HuntersPad lives near the border of mexico, then to manually travel there if possible.
@HuntersPad how critical is the situation of your cats though? can they wait a few days right and I think you live in America and do you live near the Mexico border or how long would it take you to go there say by a car/train etc. if not via flights?
This looks quite unbelievable.
Can I understand it this way? I also have a cat, and besides giving it some fish heads and leftovers every day, it also goes out to find food on its own, like catching mice or sparrows.
My monthly cost for it is no more than 10 dollars — I never really calculated it, but it might even be less.
When I go grocery shopping, I usually pick up discarded fish heads or other organs for it.
I’ve never taken it to a vet or done any health checks, because its fur is shiny and it looks very healthy, so I figured it wasn’t necessary.
The cost will go up near EOL. Cats also gets cancer, UTIs, internal organ damage, etc. Though, they usually die out of your sight
My niche doesn't seem to work well with links. The only reason I think it worked with the Walmart stuff as it was built into to YouTube and would show up in the description as more than just a link, and also a pop-up in the video that was clickable. ( The reason I think the Amazon affiliate links don't work so well)
I tried to apply for direct Walmart affiliate but heard nothing back.
Ah, i see.
Yeah, probably. Also Amazon affiliate links are pretty much everywhere and people might very well be already cookied, let alone the chance of them not clicking (if they care about the product to begin with) and instead going over to Amazon on their own.
Yeah, i saw your niche
Still if you get creative you might find something. My first idea was that your audience would love those exploding targets (i figure they are fair game in most US states?). I didn't think there would be affiliate programs but it seems i was wrong lol. I guess i could still dig up the link if you are interested. 5% on most sales. The targets go somewhere between $20 and $85. If you just get 10 guys to buy a big box that's almost $50 in your pocket
I admit this might not be the greatest/most responsible idea but there's bound to be similar stuff. Maybe try selling your audience chainsaws. Those are pretty destructive and cool too. I'd go for some gas powered (vintage?) one's though. The electrical variants are a bit meh if you get what i mean. Personally i own a little ~40yo Stihl. Jeeez, that thing is fun!
Fireworks might also have a pull with your audience but i fear there might be too much restrictions around that. I vaguely remember seeing a flamethrower drone some time ago though that from what it seemed was a-ok to be sold to anyone in the US (lol, crazy). Probably too expensive (if there's affiliate programs for that to begin with) but if you manage to sell even just a handful that might be a lot of money and come on, everyone wants a flamethrower drone.
Closest border is 1400 miles away, and no passport. But yeah that would be a great idea if it was closer.
This is so wholesome to see community banding together to help a gato owner.
I forgot to post this (I think) My memory has been useless since this.
Even though unrelated to the cat, But for those who may want to help repost on X. As its only people who have a huge following / reposts to even get a chance to get there monetization back https://x.com/HuntersPad
Surely I can get a one-time spam pass here
(just looked, been here since 2014!) time flies!
Anywhoo also off-topic sort of, I seen a psychiatrist since this whole thing has really just turned my mental health around.. I just started on some Zoloft and some Klonopin. I was shocked they'd prescribe a benzo over telehealth. So I guess everything I explained warranted it. Just a low dose though as I know how bad they can be. Couldn't really afford it as I have no health insurance, but it wasn't too expensive thankfully. Medicaid said I have to wait a few months before I can apply as its gonna be hard to prove my current income state (I only file taxes once a year)
Also thank you to whoever sent the $13 on GoFundMe, not sure if it was from here or just random
Please take (great) care of yourself my friend.
He's a big cuddler. Sleeps with us every night

Turn up the volume for this one, this was last sunday at the ER vet
https://hpad.net/share/20260510 003045-1.mp4
This was about a week after we brought him in, I used a blowup matress to sleep with him in my office, and he decided to cuddle in. He had been outside for at least 2 years https://hpad.net/share/Office-1.mp4
His tummy was fine other than it being shaved, the night shot image made it look a bit odd.

We never have any privacy.. Theres always a cat that comes by and STARES into the front door at night
And this guy always coming around every day hanging out

He's still scared of humans, but wants to make friends with our indoor/outdoor cat and she hates it. But he's in love with my moms cat, he waits in front of their house in the mornings for her to be let out, and he just follows her around. (My parents live about 600 feet away)
I could post a single cat photo every day for the next 2 years and still have more
His appointment got moved up to this Friday for the ultrasound. He's feeling a lot better today, chasing the other cats around annoying them. But Friday will tell hopefully whats going on.
Thanks to Mike half the bill for friday is paid for
Still looking for work though
But thought I'd share an update.
