If push comes to shove we can always live off @beanman109 's gambling earnings.
Good idea let me gamble all later
That sucks, but look on the bright side, there's one place where you're irreplaceable - that's here.
No no, we watch @beanman109 gamble
O no
Is this legal? Are there any protections? Seems highly illegal as it can disrupt careers.
Best wishes @FAT32 . hang in there 🙏
when angels deserve to die? yes.
Congratulations to all the winners
I think I need a bit more luck - I don't mind letting go of my KS-A or GigaHost dedi etc or whichever deals you guys think is "legendary" if it means a better luck for my job search.
Over the past many years my job search always ends with some weird outcomes, in fact this is not even the first time I have my offer rescinded. I am confident on my ability, but I dont have the luck to match with the right people that can recognise me.
The next time you think I am lucky, please remember that my luck is highly skewed to deals, and the actual truth (that a lot of you don't want to admit) is that getting flash sale is partially skills and efforts based.
Hello, I would offer you some of my own luck stat, but I don't think I got much - considering where I was born and how I'm getting bombed.
Give me $0.01/yr Gigahost dedi and I'll pray to my Goddess waifus for an increase in your luck stat.
Pinky promise~
My job search journey has been quite bumpy; on one hand, I lacked confidence in my own abilities, and on the other, I had terrible luck and felt fearful of the unknown challenges ahead.
Wishing you lots of luck with your job hunt!
(Hopefully, next time I'll be quick enough to snag one of those super-value chicken deals!)
Sorry to hear you're struggling man. I'm in a town hall right now where cuts were just announced. Good luck finding your next gig.
I understand the place of birth does makes a difference, and I am sorry to hear that. The only thing I can say is I hope you all the best for the things that you can control.
I wasn't born in where I am currently at either, but I tried to defy the odds to move here alone with nothing but debt.
Congrats to all the winners!
@FAT32
Best of luck from all dealhunters ! I wish you get a job which you truly deserve asap !
PS: Try for a fully remote job !
Im pretty sure that sending all your best deals my way will bring you a happy life and lots of children.
Seriously though, good luck with your job search. You come across as really conscientious and skilled and that definitely shows in how involved you have been here.
wishing you all the best!
Well, Sorry to hear/read your current situation, yet I am confident this will pass @FAT32 .
The amount of times I have interviewed replacements for my position.... well, not once and not twice
, by the 4'th it actually gets funny
.
Bad luck and failed opportunities are normal parts of life, not all hit the jackpot from the first, second, third, tenth try....
I know first handed that words mean little right now, yet there is little anyone can say to you right now, but.......
Cheer up fella.... a door closed is another one opened, and you never know what tomorrow might bring.
My only advice to you or anyone in your position : don't give up, don't let a misfortune event kill your hopes and dreams, as if that happens, it will be a very dark place to crawl out of. ( totally not worth it )
CHEERS and best of luck ,
HOST-C

Hey @Jord
Hey @Murv
I don't believe in luck, but I'm interested in Gigahost dedi.
Anyway, all the best wishes to you Dinoman!
damn that sucks
sorry to hear
what are the chances you'd consider joining the O-team? We may not have a big payroll, but we're Owesome!
anw, maybe good time to take a break?
Opportunities are always around us, I believe that no matter what job you are at, you are always the best, so trust in yourself @FAT32 . Anyway, I wish you the best.
Thanks for all the kind words! Opportunities are always around us yes, but let's just say it was my dream job that I have been longing for 10 years. I rejected every other offers for this.
You know how the software engineering landscape works, apply for 100 listings, get ghosted for 80 of them, get rejection email for 15 of them, and then the remaining 5 you need all the stars aligned to even get in touch with a recruiter.
Each job hunting process can lasts for many months, and that along with an already very busy work schedule is just mentally exhausting. I am not sure do I want to suffer another 3 months for nothing. (Before anyone asks, I experienced a few times already over the past many years)
I treat all of the applications with high respect, I wouldn't even bother applying if I don't have the urge to stay for the same company for years (in other words, I don't like the idea of finding a temporary job as I cannot fully deliver my impact).
Thanks for listening to my rant, I know people around me don't like negativity so let me stop whining.
have a test
if you guys ever need a forklift operator or someone with a working at heights ticket i'm your guy
Life's tough, but I’m sure you’ll find a better job soon. You should take your gf out somewhere, you can definitely rely on @cybertech for recommendations. Looking forward to grabbing a beer with you all next time I visit SG.
