Is Zurch the only most popular region? by far?
Upgrade BW: #158727
Title updated.
Nice, congratulations to your expansion!
I ran LG's 179.43.182.0/24 and Swisscom learns it in Tessin.
the lg is from AS51852 Private Layer INC but the 179.43.182.0/24 itself points to AS43440 Digitale Suisse AG
i pinged the lg from both of my vps in Bern, Switzerland and i got around 4-5ms max what's funny is that i checked https://ipinfo.io/179.43.182.39 and ipinfo says it's in Bellinzona, Ticino, Switzerland and not in Rümlang, Zurich, CH
I got one.

Thank you.
Website is pretty slow atm
I checked a few prefixes from https://bgp.tools/as/51852#prefixes and "super lg" points to Italy, hence I reckon Tessin is plausible.
I ran a trace from my Oracle VM in Zürich, there is a slightly bigger gap from #4 to #5, both 184.105.65.55 and 216.66.95.130 belong to HE and are tagged as "received in Zürich", but 185.227.149.137 is also tagged as Lugano by Swisscom.
I also ran globalping and it points to Zürich:
Here is my traceroute from aluy:
and BuyVM:
it looks like both always connect through 400ge-p2952-cust.digitalesuisse.com (4-5) i assume that the ip geo loc is wrong and not always correct. the 4-5ms i think is the somwhere near Zurch or Bern or Zug
I would say BGP communities from Tier1-2 ISPs are quite accurate.
The probe IPInfo is pinging from seems to be located in the same datacenter, and they think the probe is located in Bellinzona, Ticino, CH for some god damn reason.
I love me some black box magic.
you can choose where to ping from https://globalping.io/?measurement=2p8WKdMDqqVlIYmUr0011zhrQ
Few question
Any ipv6 /64?
rdns for v4 and v6?
Any port block?
Doubled both your bandwidth limits, enjoy!
Ah, we're looking on going live with a new site soon, so hopefully that does the trick. Let me know if it's still slow your end?
Routing looks a bit strange for me and with over 8ms from "Zurich" to East Swiss a bit high. It also travels over Milan when you do a MTRv4 to a Init7 based Target in east swiss. Same RTT for v6.
✅ 2 vCPU
✅ 2 GB DDR4 RAM
✅ 30 GB NVMe SSD
✅ 1 TB Bandwidth @ 2 Gbps
✅ 1 x IPv4 Address (Mailing Ports blocked by default)
LES Deal
$6.88 -https://www.millenial.host/portal/cart.php?a=add&pid=751
besides different ram 4-2 in LET you need to pay to get Patron Provider tag so you can post in offer section
I wonder why @jayjay did not comment on my and @Fubukibox outputs.
Love the digging 👍
Short version: the servers are physically in Switzerland.
The longer version is that IP geo and upstream tagging is messy — different databases will say Zurich, Ticino, Bellinzona, etc. depending on who registered the prefix, where it’s announced, and how traffic enters the network. That’s pretty normal on multi-upstream setups.
Latency and traceroutes are the best indicator here, and those line up with Switzerland consistently (as you’ve already seen).
We don’t disclose city or facility-level details publicly — not trying to be difficult, it’s just a security/privacy thing — but the jurisdiction and physical location are Switzerland.

Weird, "host with us, secret location".
