My Sydney VPS from @virtono appears to have gone walk abouts from Sydney to Miami?
There was an 11 hour downtime today and now it appears my VPS has relocated
I wish this was an april fools joke but the entire subnet is now being announced from the US so I was just hoping to find out what the fuck happened here https://bgp.tools/prefix/80.97.44.0/24#asinfo

It just took a few weeks vacation.
Bro gone on spring break
Miami is now territory of the commonwealth of Brisbane
As god intended
you have been involucrated to the miami beach club, your vacation has doubled
lol let providers, my sides
About time to incorporate globalping.com for farm chicken management
Look on the bright side, your VPS is now living the American Dream
That’s awesome, this VPS is out here vacationing in Miami lol.
Virtono? Deja vu?
They did the same thing in 2023 for several locations, but kept fake subnet announcements in the hope that no client would notice, or something along those lines.
Here is thread from 2023: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/191176/how-did-this-occur-sydney-vps-suddenly-became-united-states-without-any-notification
@virtono didn't update their geofeed yet, however it looks like entire ipv4 and ipv6 subnet got moved to Miami.
Initially I noticed it on globalping measurement (@jimaek ), trying to check if the routing issue @beanman109 reported got fixed since last week.
Pretty stunned seeing it responding from another part of the world lol. As far as I know, there was no notice to customer about service migration.
Poor taste April Fools joke from @virtono side imo
That s corekt! (the latest email was the automated confirmation for me opening a ticket)

If you go to their Virtualizor panel, you'll see a bunch of Offline VMs without IPs. Those are the ones that they migrated.
For me:
Dallas is now Los Angeles
Sydney is now Miami (same as OP)
Warsaw is now Frankfurt
Budapest is now Frankfurt
London is now Manchester
Very scummy, and I really feel bad for recommending them because, despite this nonsense scam, they were genuinely good for me.
I'm requesting a refund for all these VMs (over 10) in a ticket. Let's see how it goes.
lol! kindly keep us informed at your convenience sir.
It seems like coop restructuring
Let’s all go on Spring Break!
You know inflation has gone crazy when it even affects beanman's ping
London getting moved to Manchester is interesting. I would think it would go the other way around.
It seems like they are consolidating their vps into only a couple servers. Will they continue to advertise these locations and start faking geo like some RU providers.
Since they are reselling m245 or whatever the name is, I wonder whether m245 moved things around. However, def not a good stance from virtono. Probably time to migrate.
Nah, this was definitely virtono, not m247
Funny, exactly the same thing happened in 2023, and they never explained it:

Good find @Mumbly
I think we need Virtono refugee megathread now. Any Sydney deals from @onidel @oloke?
Here you go https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/215795/onidel-all-locations-50-off-limited-stocks#latest
What did Virtono offer there and what pricing range would you expect?
Damn, pretty good discounts there already
Virtono did this before - I cancelled all VPS with them after the last incident.
