From a Germal oldskool provider? Good luck ๐
People, as far as I'm aware, @UltraVPS have never done "double-bandwidth" offers, and this for at least two reasons: one, they don't need to; and two, they don't need to
(And this is good
)
Hey I'm Swedish I'm halfway there.
)
(srsly though I didn't ask for it for free
The price remains the same upon renewal.
Our VPS come with two disc. One system disc and a second disc with the ordered disc space. You may use "mount --bind" to mount folders onto another disc. Or you change the mounting point from i.e. /home to the second disc. Or you use one of our many boot images to perform a manual installation and install a LVM to have one single partition.
I keep the fingers crossed for you c:
Do I need to wait a while after payment before it's activated, or did the order fail?32343139
I understand, I just meant that they are the stereotypical German company: reliable but very inflexible and weird processes (weird virtualization, weird disk setup, weird billing...).
But a great, reliable hoster with great deals.
I know what you mean hah (German relatives as well), I appreciate the courtesy regardless.
I'm usually of the mindset that asking once is almost always OK, then take it from there. I know this is LET and shit but while I most definitely want free stuff I don't expect free stuff
Thanks for the answer, also, I was wondering if I could upload custom ISOs and then merge them using LVM during a VNC manual installation?
Why is the hard drive listed as a 200GB HDD when I purchased the 25Y-Special-2? Is there some error?
Hello,
I tested the /data disk on my server and would like to confirm the actual storage type.
Test results:
โข 1 GiB direct write: 200 MB/s
โข 4K random read: 40.7k IOPS, 159 MiB/s
โข 4K random write: 33.0k IOPS, 129 MiB/s
โข Average latency: around 0.8โ1.0 ms
These results do not look like a typical HDD. They look much closer to SSD/NVMe-class virtualized storage.
However, inside the system, lsblk reports the disk with:
โข ROTA=1
So I would like to ask:
โข HDD?
โข SSD?
โข NVMe?
Please confirm the real storage type and whether the ROTA=1 flag is only a virtual-device reporting issue.
Thanks.
@UltraVPS is there a chance for 25Y-Special-3 package or in general something with more resources ? Like 16GB RAM
I have never heard about this virtualization: do you offer any 7-day refund or something?
Quite common and apparently pretty damn good, @Not_Oles someone mentioned BSD come preach brother
It's not supported by WHM/cPanel requirements or am I missing something?
How much the storage packages cost without VAT? The EUR to usd conversions refer back to 2023 or 2024 ๐
No, it doesn't fuck around with crapware like that :P

If you miss a particular linux distribution, you can drop us an email and send us an official mirror link. Custom ISOs are not supported.
Guys, someone bought 25Y-Storage-X?
Can you share yabs?
Can you tell -storage- plans comes with two disks too? If yes then first disk 10G for system like on usual plan and ssd or hdd?
25Y-Special-2 includes 200 GB NVME Storage
yes, refund within the first 14 days after provisioning is possible. During the cancellation process choose "revoke order" for the refund.
@UltraVPS
Just wondering whether you plan to have a template for Debian 13 soon ...
Thanks. Ordered 2x25Y-Special-2 for my screenshotting and agentic app.
Crypto payments accepted?
I managed to install Debian 13 using GRUB. They don't have a Debian 13 template. Also, the Debian 12 and netboot.xyz ISOs didn't work.
@zejjnt Maybe someone else should preach? I do like the BSDs, but I also like Linux too!
If some provider gives me a free dedicated server with a few IPv4s and IPv6, I probably might try putting BSD on it and giving away free virtual machines for a while. . . . I want to learn a little about the BSD hypervisors. . . . Awhile back we had about 50 users on an Ubuntu dedi running virt-install and cloud-init. That was fun!
Hope you are doing great! Best wishes!
I'm pretty certain that they do work, but since the provider doesn't offer DHCP, you would need to specify the static network settings manually, and this can be slightly challenging with installation ISOs -- especially netboot.xyz -- that by default assume that DHCP is available to set the network
It's not about DHCP. Their Debian/netboot.xyz images are not UEFI bootable on the BHYVE. Ubuntu 24 ISO works.
Okay, it wasn't clear why you thought that the Debian ISO and netboot.xyz didn't work
Admittedly, I haven't tried either of these ISOs at this provider for a long time
Their templates work well, but -- yes -- a template for Debian 13 isn't yet available, which is why I asked about it around seven comments above
@UltraVPS Your terms disturb me slightly:
How is "immoral" defined for these terms?
