need a nice dedirock chicken™ for my sleeping datas the next years
VPS Storage - Storage Promo Plus BF dedirock-90536879
order # 4604749179
thank you !
Invoice #25370, Thanks!
My experience with it has been excellent. It would be perfect if it could also pass M-Team's detection.
A suggestion for anyone facing hdd performance issues-
Although these servers are mainly for backup solutions but if someone wants to use it for multiple 4k RW or routine access servers like immich here is the solution-
Seaweedfs is the solution,
Host seaweedfs master, volume and filer on dedirock vps
You can host another filer server on any other powerful vps and the metadata will be available locally.
You will easily get 70-100MBps for even 4k RW.
Also, alpine linux is lightweight and can be made to boot and run entirely in RAM. It will be significantly faster and even faster than SSD.
Presently using it as immich server(only api) without any performance issues.
@DediRock please let me know if the above setup violates any terms and usage conditions.
Thank you
@DediRock is it possible to get something like:
– 2-4gb RAM
– 2x Core CPU
– 100+ GB SSD Space
– 1 TB Bandwidth
– 1 Gbps Network Port
– 1 IPv4
Hello @elcapitanph,
Awesome, man! Thank you so much for the order. I definitely went ahead and doubled your bandwidth. I also added IPv6 as well. Thank you so much for your support! Have a great day.

Hello @taotaoer,
Awesome! Thank you so much for the compliment. Understood on the second part, all IPs are DC space, so the tracking can vary. Thank you!
Hello @rohitsingh1333,
That's awesome, man! Thanks for sharing that. It seems fine to me, granted it stays within normal resource usage, etc. But it seems all good. Thanks for sharing!
Cpu usage is minimal, mostly less than 5% , also RAM usage is hardly few MB for alpine linux
Invoice #27002 Thanks
Hello @Mackos,
Thank you very much for the question! Currently, I am not able to offer those configurations, however, I am working on some new product lines that will offer those types of specs for people looking for more performance. I do apologize, and I truly appreciate the interest!
Thanks
Hello @rohitsingh1333,
Okay, awesome man! Thank you for sharing that info!
Hi,
I have purchased a 1 tb VPS a few months ago.
I need upgrade of the RAM. Please check ticket #ARB-451953.
Looking forward to your response.

Hello @onedollarhostus,
Just responded!
Thanks!
Thanks for the upgrade. The server runs properly.
Invoice #27118 Thanks
I read in this thread about "double lightning strikes", lost data, RAID failures a few months ago, and owners talking about upgrades, learning from their lessons etc... So I thought sure, let's give it a shot.
Less than a month in, and already my VPS has failed and data is lost! How does that happen, especially on something marketed as a storage box?
Service Update – RAID5 Hardware Failure
Unfortunately, the server experienced a hardware failure involving multiple hard drives within the RAID5 array, which resulted in the system going offline and the data on that server being lost.
@DediRock hello, why my order dedirock-49283169
is fraud ?
Hello @onoy,
Thank you for writing in, and I understand the concern here. Data loss is never fun, especially on a storage box. The challenge is that there are multiple scenarios where total data loss can happen, and we do try to mitigate those as much as possible.
In this case, having two drives go down at the same time, while unique, is still a tough situation for all, resulting in data loss. The vast majority of the time, we are alerted by our system if a disk is degrading, at which point we can take the correct actions and handle the situation without data loss. However, in this case, it did not go that way and the failure was sudden.
I do apologize for the trouble on this, new and replacement VMs will be going out soon. I do appreciate your support and understanding while we handle the situation. We are offering extra bandwidth as needed so customers can re-upload data, and we are helping all customers with any individual requests as they come up to help with the situation.
Thank you.
Hello @onedollarhostus,
You bet, man! Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Sure but having 2 disks in an array fail at the same time seems pretty unlikely already. Having that unlikely thing happen repeatedly to the same provider in a matter of 2 months makes me think something is not done the right way? Having an extra TB bandwidth is a poor consolation at this point, what we need is snapshots to restore from.
Hello @onoy,
I understand, man. It's definitely very unique and does not happen often; we are usually able to avoid data loss. We are up to 24 storage nodes now, and almost all are RAID 5 with a few left. As the number of nodes grows, the risk of random failures like this can increase, but with that said, we put in new policies with each challenge to hopefully prevent it from happening again.
I understand about the bandwidth. I will DM you after this and let me see what I can do for you. In terms of snapshots, that is actually a great idea. I understand I am a bit late on that solution for this situation, which I do apologize for; however, I am going to look into doing this, as it could be part of the policy I adopt to limit these situations.
I do appreciate your understanding and your patience with me on this.
Thanks
Yes. How does that work - do I order 3 VPSes and then ask you to combine them, or order one and submit a ticket, or something else?
Hello @mc355,
Awesome man! Thanks for the order! Yep, I went ahead and doubled your bandwidth and added IPv6. Thank you very much for your support!
Thanks!
Hello @mamont,
Sorry about that, looks like our team updated your order. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Hey @DediRock, just grabbed a Storage PMD 2025 plan. Invoice #27227.
Would love to get the double bandwidth if possible. Thanks!
Hello @deadlyllama,
How are you? So if you just put in an order for whichever one you want, don't pay it, and let me know what the invoice number is, I'll update it. Then once you pay, the server will load automatically. Then you just message me and I'll do the upgrade manually and reboot it so the new configuration shows up. That's it!
Thank you very much!
