Great to see an hosting from Italy.
Are the servers yours or are they rented? In Italy, which datacenter are the machines located in? Thanks!

The Partita IVA Xeniagroup was made in 23/12/2025 not 2022, it's a mistake?

    Did you open a ticket?

Yes, but they haven't responded for several days.

That's concerning, especially for such a severe networking issue.

    Hi,
we own the servers and have an a rack in Retelit and one cage in SeeWeb in Milan at Via Caldera 21.

Our company went from being a sole proprietorship to a limited liability company in January of this year, the old VAT number is: IT01789140199

    Hi,
Unfortunately, we received a large amount of tickets (thousands per day) and struggled to respond to everyone.

For the network, the problem is a filter that blocked incoming traffic, and we are already proceeding to resolve it.

Welp, it's down again. I can confirm this reliably happens when I try to attach a custom ISO.

I'll open a ticket when the site is back online.

    Hi,
Do you mean that when you try to upload the custom ISO, the customer area goes offline just for you?

You can open a ticket by attaching any errors or information, so our team can verify.

    Thank you very much

Yep, it's down again. My notes:

    - settings -> vps configuration -> Add ISO
    - https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current/amd64/iso-cd/debian-13.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso
    - wait a bit for ISO to appear
    - settings -> vps configuration -> Select ISO -> debian-13.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso -> Submit
    - site goes down

Is it down for you too? Until it's back up, I can't create a ticket. The site title actually says "Banned" but the error is a Cloudflare's:

    SSL handshake failed

Cloudflare is unable to establish an SSL connection to the origin server.

        Ray ID: 9cf2ca24d83723ee
        Your IP address: 185.220.101.29
        Error reference number: 525
        Cloudflare Location: Berlin

And another try from another IP:

    A timeout occurred

The origin web server timed out responding to this request.

The likely cause is an overloaded background task, database or application, stressing the resources on the host web server.

        Ray ID: 9cf2ca7abb07656c
        Your IP address: 192.42.116.209
        Error reference number: 524
        Cloudflare Location: Amsterdam

Edit: Back up now, will create a ticket shortly.

Hi! We've added the Debian 13 template. You can find it in your VPS's management panel. Have a nice day!

I actually need to be able to use the raw netinst image, since I'm going to be doing custom partitioning.

@XeniaHosting Any chance to get custom ISOs working? If it's unlikely to be possible, I'm sure I can work around it with the Debian template if I must. I'd just like to know whether or not I should keep waiting or if I should try to find a workaround.

  • Is this recurring offer ?

Hi, just yesterday we find a solution. Can you open a ticket and give me the number? so i can connect the ISO to your VPS.

Hi, yes. Unfortunately, we have currently sold all the available stock, we have already placed orders to make new servers available.

  • Sorry, just wanted to clarify again. For 2/2/10 vps, how much traffic will be fair use? Can I use 20Tb a month? And at what speed I can use it constantly?

I was told that it was unmetered, but I just noticed today that the network was suspended (without any notification of excessive bandwidth use). So probably less than 20 TB/month. It looks like closer to 8, actually.

Also, be aware that the hypervisor will automatically reach into your filesystem and edit /etc/network/interfaces on reboot even if you uninstall cloud-init, and they don't seem to be able or willing to disable that. A solution is to use chattr +i on that file, if you happen to use different network settings or interface names.

Additionally, every opened ticket is automatically closed when there's a reply (even if the reply is a request for more information), so tickets are a maximum of two posts. So there are definitely some glitches.

  • @forest said: So probably less than 20 TB/month. It looks like closer to 8, actually.

Hmm, unmetered v 20 TB v 8 TB..those are very different figures. Would be nice to have some clarity from the provider. Thanks for pointing this out.

    This is not sexy.

I think it's a Virtualizer thing. It can be turned off, but they told me that the node wants "all interfaces to be the same name" (which doesn't actually matter to the node, of course). Well, at least it respects the immutable attribute. Set it +i and it'll be fine.

    Hi,
Basic VPS has a fair use traffic of 10TB per month, obviously we can increase it slightly if you open a ticket.

For larger quantities, you need to buy unlimited bandwidth.

Currently not, but if it is requested, we can add it.

The system makes a change to the network card every time the VPS is switched on/restarted to ensure that the system works in case of errors and/or changes of settings.

Additionally, every opened ticket is automatically closed when there's a reply (even if the reply is a request for more information), so tickets are a maximum of two posts. So there are definitely some glitches.

If the customer does not respond within 7 days, the system automatically closes the ticket.

There must be some bug then, because as soon as you respond, it gets automatically closed instantly and I have to create a new ticket. It doesn't let me re-open it to respond.

Unfortunately that causes breakages in some systems such as those installed directly via ISO. It's unnecessary, even if it's helpful to some users. It is able to be turned off on a per-system basis, btw.

How much would some extra bandwidth cost? Based on your websites' documentation, while it says 10 TB is a recommended maximum and that causing issues with the node can lead to bandwidth throttling/suspension, that there is no hard limit. However, it appears the suspension was automatic and was a hard limit.

I do need my VPS network restored, even if it is throttled (for example to 100 Mbps).

For the unlimited network, it depends on how many Gb/s you are interested in.

How much would it cost to get just 100 Mbps unmetered? I don't need much, personally, but I'm also on a budget.
