Open a ticket asking Lewis (edit: Eric, I'm losing track of the names) to cancel and refund. He'll immediately cancel but not refund. Then you can chargeback.

@rpqu said: why can't he just let people chargeback then start paying him from the start ?

    2 theories:

    1. He simply doesn't care. Showed that also about his own image or what people think. He's stubborn.
    2. Part of the deal with Lewis was to try to keep a number of people from chargeback as long as needed so that they are past the chargeback period.

More and more I think "2" is plausible. I mean, by providing the service to "customers" a number of payment providers won't chargeback because you get what you paid for. (That is the case with my payment provider, I asked them and it was a simple answer: "you get the service, you can't chargeback" - and presto, when VPS is deleted the chargeback window has passed. Isn't choice no. 2 illegal and would have incriminate him to conspiracy, aiding/accessory to a fraud?

P.S. Eric I know you're reading this. Message me and I'll make you an unbeatable offer.

Best I can do is $7

Was there a deal then? Can't be - I mean, Lewis didn't act as a company. So there can't be a deal. So there is nothing written down. Eric only got the "keys" - maybe he found them in a sewer? Where every descent turd should be disposed?

Now as an answer: sure it'd be illegal. But if you can't prove something, you can get away with it.

He represent it as an asset transfer. So, the leasing contract to DC, the domain, and anything else beside Lewis's customer. But...

He represent it differently every time. The main issue is: he accepted the hardware with users and -data on it.

If he wants to make it look that Lewis is a scumbag he can do that. However, he's not much better and part of the whole scam.

And then saying "there was no such company before, I've created it, I'm not going to change its name" is just utterly stupid.

Agreed. It's strange to spend much effort customizing the front-end. But, he doesn't even consider making new brand.
He want to get customer (not starting from zero), yet he doesn't want their existing contract or the existing customer to chargeback lewis's account (whic he strangely maintained, instead of making new paypal)

If I create a new political party here and call it Nederlands Armzalig Zeker Instituut, I bet I won't have a good story in court when I'm saying I'm not changing its name because of some historic thingy that happened and I should not be surprised when people don't want to have anything to do with me.

People would've start asking you "Gib back mijn fiets" :)

    Ask @jsg

My @VeloxMedia VPS still runs (without a single interruption since about Xmas) and even showed quite decent results in my very recent connectivity benchmark.

Now, obviously my VPS is just one but it's what I have and can judge. AFAIK quite a few others also still have their VPS.

Support was good even during the (early) "war" days.
IMO this is a typical case of "many (more or less) satisfied but largely quiet people are not heard during the massive noise a few angry ones make".

They now terminated all my servers.

Not at all surprising. You not only had it coming but you basically begged for it. Besides at least some of your deal really were unsustainable, i.e. exactly the kind which lead to Lewis getting out. Plus you screamed at Eric, threw tantrums, and threatened.
This is NOT an attack, just a reminder that fair, cool, and polite tends to be a better approach.

9/m is pretty sustainable. Its a actually cheaper at say... Google, aws... but yeah... in all bullshit. I only called him out when he illegally tried to charge my card and stole my account credit.

Thats not throwing a tantrum. That's outing a scammer.

The words you choose give the impression that you have some kind of intelligence, yet upon closer inspection, your statements are brimming with nonsense.

This statement should deserve way more thanks.

No. Starting from zero would give your more brand credibility than acquiring this turd.

I'd buy the domain from him though. Put up some @emgh nudes. Maybe some @ehab leaked vids. Prem stuff.

Nah this one is more likely just upset because they got scammed and blaming @Saragoldfarb for their server getting cancelled rather than facing their own responsibility

From paypal's or payment processor's POV, this falls under the category of suspicious transfer structure, highly related to phoenixing. And Eric's behavior should have justify suspension or even a ban unless they settled it with the existing customer. Yet, they're still doing business with lewis' account.

That's genius. $20/month if you don't want to have to change your password every day.

You’re thinking too small - $20 per login! Port 22 blocked so you can only access via web console. Manual invoices that require a login to be paid. Ticket responses can only be seen or responded to from the panel.

    Money making machine!!
