Per @hosthatch
The setup time is 10 working days (2 weeks). Most will get delivered much earlier. Some may get slightly delayed. Please order one of the packages from hosthatch.com directly if immediate provisioning is needed. We cannot offer faster provisioning on special plans.
I bought a Japanese VPS before, and it was up and running the next day.
How can I solve this problem? It's caused by an unstable network connection. The IP addresses 151.241.5.128 and 188.209.141.115, and this other IP address, all show as China Unicom. I'm within these IP ranges, and I'm very confused.
Some of my users in mainland China are unable to access our website, which is why I'm seeking help here.
i see. well, this is the wrong place to seek support.
you need to contact hosthatch support
Have you contacted China Unicom?
They are your ISP and it’s their responsibility to improve network stability.
is that right?
Has anyone got their server/s delivered from the January sale yet?
I am aware of the stated delivery time etc. just wondering if anyone has had one delivered yet.
You kind of sound like a kid who sneeks a peek at their presents before Christmas Day to try to figure out what they've got.
Yes but I fully sympathize with him though
One more week to stay patient. Team needs some time in setting it up. I'm sure they will deliver according to promise.
To be fair, it's a lot more convenient to get a server on a Friday night than a Monday morning if one only has time to muck with it on the weekends. Also sucks to find out on Monday morning that you actually had it provisioned earlier and didn't notice (I forget if an email gets sent when it does get provisioned).
missed that deal:
4 CPU cores (2 dedicated core, 2 fairly shared cores) ROME/MILAN
16 GB RAM
200 GB NVMe storage
16 TB premium bandwidth (6 TB in Seoul)
$110 per year, $300 per 3 years
(2X RAM, storage for 3 year payments)
(2x bandwidth for 3 year payments - Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sngapore)
i need it for real in SG.
You snooze you lose.
Try again next year.
@hosthatch Thank you!
anyone know if hh sends an email when they provision the server?
No, we use/consider the same terminology that is standard for Linux.
1 core = 100%
0.5 core = 50% of a core
If a plan has 0.5 dedicated core and 2 shared cores (3 total cores), it means you have a 50% of a core that is dedicated, and the remaining 250% CPU is shared.
If a plan has 1 dedicated core and 2 shared cores (3 total cores), it means you have 100% of a core that is dedicated, and the remaining 200% is shared.
Yes we always send a welcome email.
i will be anxiously checking my email every 5 minutes. tomorrow marks the 10th day i think.
this feels like christmas
There’s a thing called push notification, if you use an Exchange based email provider.
You see a popup at bottom right corner when the email arrives, instantly.
From OP:
Tomorrow is not a business day. Probably need to factor MLK day as well.
Jan 29/30 is two weeks from the last sale.
10 TB storage server in NL arrived and it's awesome @hosthatch never disappoints. Thank you!
speak of the devil
One of my servers has been delivered. Thanks HH
Check question @hosthatch team, I understand servers are delivered with more limited support from the deal, but if I were to make a paid request for BGP/my own IP block - would that still be honed?
Yes, BGP is supported on all of our services, and all of our locations.
Yeah, turned out mine was delivered as well, maybe even before I last posted and didn't realize.
I have 0.5 dedicated core.
How can I make sure that I am using 0.5 of the core and not full?
Does it mean i can not exceed 50% in the single core?
If yes, then what's the limit for the shared ones?
Hi there. I got a hybryd VPS from HH.
How to make that /dev/vdb with 1.82 TiB available? I mean I got plex on the server and when I want to migrate my movie collection to VPS but I can't cause it says I have only 19G disk.
Thanks for help in advance.
This is a quick and dirty suggestion just to get you started. Please read up to get proper ways to do this so that it works for you long term.
Do what you need on /mnt/bigdisk (including creating user accessible directories etc.).
