Hostslick - Order Cancelled, No Refund for 45 Days

Hostslick posted a discount coupon. I bought the VPS through the discounted link, but they cancelled it. They promised a refund. It's been over 45 days now, and I still haven't received my money back.

  • You didn't provide him details to do refund, what else did you expect?

  • you can provide the payment-method you use like credit card or paypal in the email. its easier for a host to refund then. also include invocie/order id, hosting-plan name.

    45 days is bit long to process. I've not seen any host that takes so much time. Usually web hosts big or small issue refund in 5-7 days and it may take upto 30 days to reach bank. But in most cases refunds are credited to bank in 10-12 days.

    At least they respond to your ticket. My VPS disappeared from the Virtualizor panel in mid-December ("1) User ID not found, please report to the Administrator to verify if your VPS has a valid User assigned to it or not"), and so far, there has been no response from them to my ticket.

    They definitely would have told me if information was missing. To be clear, I provided everything they asked for in the first ticket. I just missed adding that detail here.

    They never asked for any alternatives. The messages make it obvious that they are just giving me the runaround

  • Lesson learned never buy from a provider that give you big discount better pay more to better provider example nova cloud which gives better service then those like rarecloud or hostlick. Just my opinion.

  • I think due to coupon a refund got cancelled.

    At least you didn't get banned for pointing out his 7 day refund rule in his ToS.

  • Before purchasing a service, you should set up a blacklist of hosting providers and not make any purchases, no matter how low the price is offered.

    They finally issued the refund. Since it clearly takes only one day to process, I really wish it hadn't taken 45 days.
