Yes very good
First velox now exact, guess it’s of no use getting a deal on the megathreads, instead just grab something from a normal deal thread from a reputable company and call it a day.
Damn, i almost grabbed the container deal, thank god i didn't. Keeping a Pterodactyl fine is not that easy as well.
Did grab the deal but didn't get the mail
Hosting isn't your thing, get a new hobby. Exit-act
Lmao
The exact.gg website exhibits several signs of an unreliable provider.
Besides, whenever I see clipart rockets on a homepage that has no rockets to sell I know it's time to look somewhere else.
The best part, their twitter states they're from Lithuania
That agrees with what's registered on Companies House: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/13819890/officers
But yeah, it'd definitely be fraudulent to passing themselves off as a UK company and running all their money through a company in a different country, but as I'm not a customer I have no idea if that's what they put on their invoices.
I do notice that their website is down now.
VPSes and website itself are dead for a couple of hours already
What a joke this "provider" is... https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/215738/epyc-dedicated-server-required
Kinda called it...
Yeah you're right. On the other hand, I've had subscriptions to providers who also started as a hobby project and did things as you would expect. So proper communication, not suddenly moving servers to different countries, and if there was a move they would properly do it and not "we'll move and see what happens".
Lately we've seen providertags been taken away for providers that did less worse than this one... I mean, LET's not a childrens playground.
My vps is back btw. As always no communication whatsoever. 98.6% uptime so far (which is fine)
My VPS also came back after a long period, then went down late in the evenening and I wasn't able to do anything to it because the management portal was changed and I only had billing information on it with no links to real management things like starting, stopping, etc.
Since they've moved quite a distance and my latency to the VPS (from several locations) increased x5 to x6 and sometimes even more, I've cancelled my agreement with them.
And added them to my personal top 10 of worst providers.
Even Calin has better uptime
Care to share the other 9?
I was doubting to call it a top 5 or not, but if it would be a top 5 I would have to leave out at least one that deserves to be in that list
Basically there are the obvious ones (Alphabetical order):
C1V [Big words and promises while hosting in a garage and having outage every time mom had to hover]
HostSlick [Way before the drama here I had a VPS for a very short time. Got it, had some serious issues with it, put in a ticket and the way the response was crazy... so I canceled it within the allowed period.]
MassiveGrid [Was OK-ish until they started with overselling here]
VeloxMedia [Was OK until "sold" and extorting customers]
VirMach [Was happy with it for quite some time, and then the drama began...]
If I want to keep it a "top 5" I'd now say: "Everyone hosting from Eygelshoven". There are hosters there that are doing their best though, but in general, it's always "something" there and I've tried it 3 times, and 1 of them is already mentioned above (and probably the source of the issues of the other 2) and the other 2 left there because of all the issues.
Yeah that’s a full on provider meltdown no status no tickets is the biggest red flag possible, gg indeed
That’s not a top 5, that’s a hall of fame
In fairness to Calin, neither of my servers with him have had downtime in months and are pretty solid.
