@anubhavhirani Thank you for placing the order. Please be assured, team will work solve the query in earliest possible.

Can I get full refund? Because I do not understand why I need to share my root password for enabling AMD-V? No provider ever asked for it before, looking forward to refund.

    Invoice #422217

The support is wonky at times but if you just refuse they find a way to fix it. I was trying to install windows. Their support just refused intially. Then asked me to pay big bucks. I said I have my own license. Took 24 hrs but made it work.

    THEY RESETTED MY PASSWORD???

I am not surprised honestly. netdynamics was another surprise over the years with different hosts. They store passwords in plain text.

I had forgotten about a backup plan I had with them. I signed up for a new one. I had some issues. I opened a ticket and in that ticket they just casually mentioned my old password. However, they do claim to have fixed that now. But trust once broken, is always broken.

Trust once broken, is always broken.

    Exactly!

Wow, this escalated so bad. HostSailor is prem, wasn't expecting this.
Regarding the problem, there is a trick to enable it, you need to test some almalinux template and check if it is enabled or not. After that it just need to install your preferred OS by mounting the ISO and set up things.

Running them for an year and counting. In this entire year i only had 1 maintenance on the node. Network and the node are pretty stable. Initially i had the same problem as you on the CPU, but it had guys on the old threads telling how to bypass it.
Support is really not the best, you can confirm it by your experience.
I believe it is better to stay, even if they opened you the window to have a nice deal with a really good price.

I've had it for more than a year. It has been nice and stable.

@anubhavhirani with this YABS result, you can confirm this almalinux allows you the CPU options. Like I said, just mount your preferred ISO and you good to go.

I am waiting for Hostsailor to respond, if they are upgrading me to 3-5X specs at same cost ( $16.18/yr) or letting customer go with refund and a sour experience. :grimace:

Not really, they can refund if that's easier on them, they mentioned they will happily compensate.

I will do that once they upgrade, usually I don't need support unless something is broken which I can't fix.

Yeah, well. They didn't handle that ticket well but they are a great provider. One of the few I've been with since the beginning and they don't put their offers on some crappy nodes either.

If you got one of the good deals, hard to beat.
