Thank you for your response. I learnt something new today.
Regarding this, I suppose the reason feels much more passion/interests which then generate knowledge. So I assume that has a split with the homelab communities too for lowendhosting and similar.
I think the honesty part is accurate too. Although if you ask me I feel as if the initial investments in vps providing are immense to begin with so usually the people who start lowendhosting might be IT people themselves
Can something be done about this? If this is a problem, I think that something can be done about it as well.
I suppose though that what I am saying is more akin to a dedicated server alike then a vps which can of course have more roommate drama.
I'd love to know about financials in this industry solely because hosting business has fascinated me and not that I think I am gonna build one right now or something (I just dont think the costs are worth it) I am still curious about how the model operates and how much people make profit and similar.
For what its worth though that when we are comparing hosting businesses to airline industry is that airline industry is notorious for losing money or not performing well (fun fact but this was actually in the book: the intelligent investor in just the introduction of book or just the start of book!)
Do you think hosting business is also akin to that?
Also another question but what are the most transparent lowendhosting's provider services (in how much profit they make, how much lose) or willing to talk about it because I am kind of interested about the financials of such lowendhosting business as I talked abotu earlier and I didn't know that some of these lowendhosting actually lose money on deals.
I can't find anything about Velox Media Inc.
After all pages in this thread what actually made you believe you will find anything?
@ralf and some others
Further discussing with you makes no sense IMO because you insist on considering your feelings, interpretations and partial relevant knowledge to be facts.
Example:
Even assuming that the first statement is correct, it still is questionable, among other reasons for the assumption, stated as if a fact, that (a) the stripe emails were intended for Lewis (as opposed e.g. for anyone holding that account) or "the company", and (b) that Lewis had not given permission - which from what I can see, is just speculation, and (c) that Eric even could have access to that account and/or those emails in the first place without explicit or implicit permission.
And we/you actually know in between very little and almost nothing. What, for example, if Lewis did not provide or not only provide access to that email account but rather simply copied those message for Eric?
As I already said multiple times, details are important and "X told that he read emails intended for Y" can mean lots of things, ranging from "he illegally and intentionally hacked that account (and then read the messages)" to "Y copied those messages and gave them to X".
To find out those relevant and sometimes decisive details is one of the reasons for investigations and cross examinations. Without those details what you quoted (him saying) carries very little information and weight, far, far less than you seem to think.
Also you play judge or at the very least legal expert yet again with your second statement.
Whatever, it doesn't make sense to discuss on that basis. But hey, enjoy your witch hunt ...
all servers up.
Good for you.
Okay, now we need some news about the future of our servers :-) At least they are running...
Also, it was true statement from @VeloxMedia that the VPS was always online. I see 80+ days of uptime. (Can it be paused and transferred?)
In principle, this confirm statement about DDoS attack. As I mentioned before, I saw that at that time some pages were loading fine from time to time during the DDoS period.
quite the team he's got there, sounds like customers of @VeloxMedia will be well taken care of.
I was fairly sure this was the case based upon my yearly compliance training, but didn't want to misspeak. California has a data privacy law that is similar to GDPR called CCPA. However, I would guess that Velox doesn't meet any of the required thresholds that would compel them to comply.
And about that he is at US. No one will stop him from registering a company at UK and access all of your data from US :-)
The operation hides lewis from being visited by govs and care money under carpet.. Seems like its done for many years, same as the other companies he sits in as "director". Not first time a company got so called selled or whatever. The government needs to know, that a black sheep is in to money laundering.
Weird that the SEC site or the Pennsylvania State Department site does not show a Velox Media Inc.
Can anyone from the US confirm that these take time to update?
I would've thought they'd be updated before confirmation of initial filings and approval.
Quite the team indeed, you mean:
Tom Harper -> alter ego with a name taken from football ?
Eric Banks -> alter ego with a name taken from football ?
Velox Media Inc -> a corporation that does not exist ?
On the PA Buisness search website:
https://file.dos.pa.gov/search/business
The existence of Eric Banks and Velox Media Inc remains a mystery
Velox Media is actually a company in UK, but not a hosting company. It looks all to lighting the clients so nothing can be found through google. Same goes to all old businesses made by Lewis.
VeloxMedia was never a company. It was merely a trading name used by Lewis, who was a sole proprietor.
Because the name was stolen from veloxmedia.com, to hide his mess in google. The same for all fake names and hosts by him.
I think there was a company VeloxMedia but unrelated to our Velox. Domain was also bought off the shelf, so seems like both were not coincidences.
The only company that has a similar name on LET is VeloxServ. Even I was confused in the beginning when VeloxMedia showed up
On LET yes but I meant this company.
Yes, they've had sketchy vibes since day one.
Alright, so just to give them the benefit of doubt. We can consider th filing was done after the 23rd.
Alright, let's see
I mean, whatever xD
Correct me if I am wrong but when one party makes materially false statements to induce another into a contract they otherwise wouldn’t have signed sounds like a very valid ground for a chargeback, right?
If he can't see the status, how does he know theres a chargeback request anyway?
Email notification.
At least he came.
Fwiw, @VeloxMedia account not 'eric' anymore. It's now operated by chatgpt legal.
Either he actually talked to legal or realized, that he fucked with the wrong community.
