    some options

    1. eric is really someone else and tries to change the wheel.
    2. eric is only a 2nd manager behind lewis
    3. eris is actually lewis
    4. benthost is a rebrand under lewis

My guess is (3) and he's trying to figure out how much trouble he is in by writing these vague messages.

    The company has 1,600+ clients

    Min: 1600×£10= £16000
Assuming average consumer booked £40 sales: 1600×£40= £64000

    I have 32,000 clients

    And that's not true either

  • Seems to be up and down. Also kinda funny tho that given the talk of unsustainable deals and everything being a mess, the special offers page is still up and accepting orders - maybe turn orders off until you can figure out what you're actually doing?

But everything is his from now so......

  • As most of us paid yearly or even more guys make sure you have no credit card saved, no PayPal agreement or anything like that. You can always set it again in a year, but disabling it now will be less hassle than chargebacks later.

While the situation is quite scary (have amsterdam big ram server from them).
I advise people to not panik chargeback, you will loose everything and pay penalties because the current situation does not grant you reason (in my case, eu citizen)

Because the service is still present, delivered, and functional as advertised with access.
Banks rule against chargebacks for active services because there is no fraud or no delivery.
Chargeback is not a refund, it is only for the service was never delivered or never performed. NOT because you don't trust the new management or unsure of the future!

Agree with that and that's also how I'm treating it, I've got my VPS early October, so basically those couple of days until hopefully some dust settles may not make a big difference.

On the other hand, I'd want to urge the "new owner" to not put down some statements here about either honouring contracts or not, who owns the contracts, etc. From my point of view, if you now mention that "it's a mess" you clearly didn't look at things before taking over the keys. @Platonks advises to talk to a local lawyer as a customer, I'd advise @VeloxMedia to do so even more urgently. Even if it's maybe possible to legally terminate non-profitable accounts in your position - it'll definitely backfire in the long run by acting that way if not done properly (i.e. either respecting contracts or refunding really unprofitable cases).

This is the predicament. Doesn't make much sense to shut everything down and make everyone lose all their money. But also doesn't make much sense for me to pay for everyone's hosting fees.

As far as I can see there's a mix of all kinds of packages, some normal and fair while others are obviously way below sustainable, so obviously something has to be done.

Then there's people filing charge backs and such which I can kinda see as they come into his old email account I have access to. Doesn't make sense for them to get a chargeback then still have service either...

Just laying the cards on the table here

cool. dont touch my 4/y server please.

No, orders on and before 21st are the old owner and on and after 25th is the new. Any orders placed today are not owned by anyone.

  • Honestly, if its truly just a new guy trying to step in and pick up the slack I wish them nothing but the best, but the tone and messaging and just... lack of information or proper process is a tad concerning at this point. Certainly not going to be counting on these VMs sticking around. But also... that's always a risk of buying some of the crazier deals.

    From discord:

Trust is earned. Lets be real here and look at the facts. I have the keys to the kingdom right now and full control over everything. I could easily shutdown everyone's hosting down right now and start fresh, rebill everyone or do anything I wanted. But I'm paying your bills to keep the servers online and handling the tickets to help ensure everything is working properly. I'm updating everyone on the status and making changes to help improve things. I'm asking for some time to dig through this crazy stuff to get a solid plan together so we all have an understanding of whats going on and it all makes sense. There's a ton of moving parts. Tons of security and bills and everything else, plus its xmas and family and all of life. So please bear with me a bit and trust me..... or backup your stuff and shut down your VPS and just logoff here then you don't need to worry about any of this.

BTW if anyone orders any crazy or obviously insane deal we'll just cancel the order and process a refund. There's literally like 500+ products in this system and I don't want to make any system changes yet until I fully dig into that side of things. So yes the ordering is still active but I've just cancelled a couple that came in

    And from lewii:

Well a contract was signed by both of us, the proof is here however I’m going to let Eric do his thing.

Regardless of the takeover, there is no malice from myself or Eric (from what I can tell). I had good intentions for VeloxMedia, built it up from the ground up in 2021.

I trust Eric will take good care of you, and I hope you are all well looked after.

But I am asking, regardless if you listen or not to give Eric a chance and settle in.

I have asked for benthost to introduce themselves a few times now so everyone speculating can rest easy, that’s all I can ask of them.

I don’t want to see VeloxMedia get turned into shitshow, as much as I am not part, I still care and have built some amazing relationships with clients over the years and have always tried my best with each and everyone of you that have reached out.

Unfortunately, MJJs do make this VERY difficult because of the demand of free stuff and constant moaning for things that NO host can deal with such as IPs being blocked from Google and other services, however if this is banned in your country…well then that’s kind of what google and the GCFW are trying to stop which shouldn’t be a hosts fault.

However, enough of me. Please allow Eric and his team to settle in

    • I am doing a favor to everyone by keeping everything up

Super stupid for someone to take charge about something without knowing anything. Trying to come out as a savior but only on surface.
Deep down its probably something else

Really curious how the provider tag to @VeloxMedia was issued and what type of vetting is done @jbiloh

It squarely falls on money grab from LET admin

    • pay biloah tax
    • no vetting
    • profit for everyone except customers
  • All downhill since @Calin scammed 22k
